Pagkatapos naming maghiwalay ni Cecil ay sina Mommy at Daddy agad ang pinuntahan ko para kausapin. I cannot leave the country without assurance that Cecil is fine even though I wouldn’t be around her.
“We heard it, Jonas. We heard everything.” Diretsong sambit ni Mommy nang pumasok ako sa kwarto nila. Tumango ako at saglit na kinalma ang sarili ko. I still can’t believe that Cecil and I broke up. Hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ko ito pero sa ngayon ay hindi ako pwedeng tumigil. I need to move forward and do what I have to do.
“Please look after her for me. Take good care of her ‘coz I won’t get married if Cecil isn’t going to be my bride,” dire-diretsong sambit ko. “Kung gusto po ninyong magkaroon ng apo sa akin ay ‘wag ninyong papabayaan si Cecil.”
