Chapter 7: Dark Secrets
I could feel tears escaping down my cheeks, as I beheld the forthcoming pain.
But instead of asking me what was wrong, Daddy just stared and put his arms around me, in attempts of consoling me.
For once, however, I chose not to push him away. I actually allowed him to stroke my hair, to coddle and to comfort my soul when it was hurting.
“There, there. Everything will be all right, love. Don't you worry…" Stifling a sob helplessly, I lifted up my head and began to sniffle.
I wanted nothing more than to be small again, to be “Daddy's little girl" once more.
But that wasn't my only problem.
