Ava's POV
He takes off running towards her tower then turns around the corner right near the forest line.
“Ava stay back” he shouts.
Like hell I will.
Pushing myself as hard as I can to get there my heart pounding against my chest, I was afraid it would come out. Taking the same corner River disappeared round, I stop dead in my tracks my breath hitching there lying on the grass in a pool of her own blood is my best friend.
