Getting ready

The next day, after getting off from work, I immediately went home to clean the house and to buy some groceries after. Lucas said that he will leave an amount of money in the kitchen for me to use it to purchase the things that I'll be needing inside the house.

I frown and sigh when I remember that he will probably not be at home during the dinner since I remember that he'll be seeing the woman named Bianca tonight. Why am I so feel bad about it?

Whatever, I'll just clean the house properly once I get home. The moment I arrived and went inside the house, I saw Niccolo in the living room, sitting on the couch. When he notice my presence, he went towards me while holding a card.

"Karina, here use this card for doing grocery. His highne.. I mean Alpha, will not be around for dinner, so cook something that's enough only for you." He exclaimed, handing the card.

I look at the card that's on my hand in question. "Why did you bother bringing this card to me? I thought Lucas left some cash in the kitchen."

A smug form on his lips before going to the door to open it. "Don't be silly, Alpha is cashless. All he needs is a card to pay." He said then went out of the house while I was left inside getting agitated. That beta never fails to make me irritated.

When I got the place cleaned up, I went inside the bathroom and stripped my clothes away to take a bath. I'm sweating like hell, I want to freshen myself.

I went to the nearest mall to do some groceries with Mia. I called her earlier that I needed her help since I can't carry all the things alone with my own strength. And also I don't have a freaking car and I'm afraid to ride a taxi alone while carying a lot of stuff. The driver might get tempted and take the things away. I know it's a little bit exaggerated but I'm just making sure that I won't put myself in any harm again. Knowing that Niccolo will have a long scold with me if I'll do dumb sh*t again.

Like what Niccolo said, I used the card to pay everything that I bought including my own stuff. Yup, I bought my own things since he didn't say anything about not spending the money to myself.

When we arrived at the building, Mia helped me carry the bags up until the door, however I couldn't let her go inside the house since Lucas already told me about that, and of course she completely understand. We talk a while outside the house before she plans to go home since we only did the shopping in just an hour. It's not enough to catch up about the things that's going on.

"Say, that alpha and you don't have that kind of relationship, right?" I almost choked myself with my own saliva at the sudden change of topic.

"What?! How did you even have that sort of things in your mind Mia? You knew very well that I don't like alphas." I insisted.

"Gosh! Don't get mad I'm only asking Karina.. But did you not really think about giving it a try? I mean, what you've always wanted was a rich guy and here he is a very wealthy man, it's just that he's an alpha. But even so, he's been so good to you. Didn't you even think at least once that he probably likes you?" She explained. Now she mentioned it, Lucas has been pretty kind and soft to me unlike how Niccolo treats me. But should I consider that treatment as a 'like'?

"Well, I've notice that he's been so considerate to me and the fact that he helped me all throughout this time. But he did mentioned that he's only helping me since he felt a sense of responsibility when I had my first heat. He pitied on me I guess?" I replied.

"Arg! Karina, does everything else matter? What I'm trying to say is that take advantage of his kindness and be his girlfriend! It's either he's an alpha or omega that shouldn't be big deal since what we're talking here is your future. To think he's much more better than any other rich omega. And also you guys have done it a lot of times, it also means that he likes doing it with you.. so your chances are big you know."

Sometimes I questioned myself if I really have a brain or none. What she's saying is true. What am I even doing all this time? I should've took advantage of him from the very start when he was annoying me everyday. But I didn't, since I only kept on thinking that he's an alpha and I don't like him.

"I guess you're right, but I think there's no chance for that now. He's meeting a female alpha that I heard came from a royalty. There's no way that he'll miss this chance.." I said with a bit of sadness in my tone. Mia just sigh and tap my shoulder.

"What? You pitied on me now?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"No, instead I questioned myself if how did I get myself a dumb friend like you. Anyways, there's no need to be disappointed about that, remember that he's just meeting that woman and the amount of time that you've spent with him is greater than the meeting that they will have now. So make sure to prepare and make yourself something pretty tonight then seduce him when he gets home. Make him fall for you Karina... so that I can also have that Beta on my hands."

The way Mia is grinning as she saying those words, gives me shivers. But at the same time, I feel light weight inside after hearing those words. So there's still a chance for me. I can't lose Lucas this time, I need to make him mine tonight.

Should I use my heat as an excuse?

No, no that would be a bad idea if I get caught. I'll just do it naturally so he'll also feel my sincerity.

"The way you're saying it is creeping me out. Anyways, you should better be going since I still need to get these things inside and arrange them." I said while pointing the bags that are still on the floor.

"Alright, you should update me tomorrow morning okay? Bye Karina goodluck~" She said and went inside the elevator.

I carried all the things inside the kitchen and placed the meat and vegetables inside the refrigerator. With these, I'll have more options at what dish to cook for tomorrow.

Anyway, I need to hurry up and eat then take a bath later, for sure he'll be round after dinner.
