JASON POV
The sweet scent of Jasmine mixed with lemons fills my nose and without turning back, I knew that Nadia was among the people attending my wedding with Dilai.
I fought the urge to scan my eyes through the crowd and at least have a glimpse of her beautiful face. I couldn't do that, not when I stood at the altar with another woman walking down the aisle for me.
Everything is so complicated, my life is so messed up.
All I wanted to do was to pull Nadia in my arms and kiss her senseless. I wanted to express my happiness to her for turning out to be my mate but I couldn't do that.
I am the Alpha of this pack and that means I have to think about the wellbeing of the people before I can think of myself.
That's why today I am marrying Dilai.
Dilai is the daughter of the Alpha of Black River pack. Marrying her means that our Moon Stone pack will have an ally, a powerful one at that.
After the mess my father created leading to the downfall of the Moon Stone pack, something had to be done to revive the pack.
As a result, I approached the Black River pack Alpha, seeking his help and that's how the marriage alliance was forged.
I was cruelly pulled from my thoughts when Nadia blatantly accepted my rejection. I stiffened, disbelief washing through me.
I did not want to believe that my Nadia would actually accept my rejection.
When I rejected her, I only thought that would give her a reason to stay away from me. I never thought she would take it so seriously and I would end up losing her.
Did I perhaps push her too far?
"What a joke this is? An Alpha getting rejected by an Omega? This is ridiculous!"
"What's even more ridiculous is how his so-called Luna is behaving like a clown. With this kind of a woman by his side, I'm afraid the Moon Stone pack will only decline more. "
"At this rate, even the former Alpha would be considered better. What do you expect from a man who can't respect his mate? How do you expect him to lead the pack? "
I could hear the people haul their disdainful words at me but I was too lost to even care.
"Won't you do something about this? First it was your b***h who disrespected me, now even your people see me as a joke?" Dilai shouted at me but I ignored her, walking away from the hall.

NADIA POV
I hauled the small backpack containing all my belongings before making my way to the woods.
Since I already cut ties with the Moon Stone pack, I could not remain in their land.
In twenty four hours, the pack bond will be totally severed and I will officially turn into a rogue. Before that happened, I had to get away from here and head to the human world.
I know for sure that no pack will be willing to take me in since I am an Omega who is rejected on top of that.
I might have left weak and pathetic but I swore to myself to come back strong.
No matter what it takes, no matter how hard and difficult it will be, I will be stronger and when that time comes, I will be back to avenge the death of my parents.
It doesn't matter how long I will have to wait, I will definitely punish Dilai for causing the death of my parents, that is my goal.
I walk through the familiar forest, the same paths I would take back when I used to search for Jason all through the land.
When night falls, I could not help but panic.
Rogues come out at night to hunt and an encounter with rogues is not something I am ready for at this time, not when my wolf is still weak from accepting Jason's rejection.
Creeping slowly to avoid making a sound and attract attention, I look around, trying to locate a cave which I could use to spend the night before starting my journey.
Unfortunately for me, I don't make it far when the sound of wild howls echo through the forest.
My adrenaline shoots. Fight of flight kicks in and I find myself racing through the dark forest as fast as my little legs could carry me.
The sound of paws hitting the ground and the rattling sound of dry leaves announces the rogues in my pursuit.
My heart pumps loudly, threatening to pop out of my chest.
I trip and fall, rolling a few times. Picking myself up, I continue to run, not looking back but it doesn't take long when I'm pushed down and pinned to the ground.
Three more wolves catch up before shifting Into their human forms.
The nauseating scent of something burnt confirms their identity; rogues.
"What is a beautiful woman like you doing alone in the woods?" The man pinning me on the ground asked, casting his lustful eyes at me making me feel disgusted.
He traced his dirty hands on my face, prompting me to slap them away.
His touch disgusted me.
"Look, she's feisty!" He declared and the others laughed. My small bag was already in their possession.
"How about we have some fun? It's not everyday we get to rob a beautiful woman!" The man suggested, leaning over to kiss me.
Mustering all the courage, I kicked him where the sun never shines before pushing him off me and making my run.
"Catch her! Don't let her escape!" He ordered, groaning in pain as he clutched his crotch.
Weak and unable to outrun them, I was easily overpowered and all the three men hoovered all over me.
I closed my eyes as tears kissed my cheeks. I could not believe how unlucky I was. Just how cruel was fate to me? Wasn't getting rejected by my mate not enough that I had to end up getting violated by rogues?
Just when I thought everything was over for me, I heard groans and grunts before the weight on top of me was lifted.
Opening my eyes slowly, I made up a figure of a handsome face looking down at me with worry filled eyes.
" Are you okay?" Those were the last words I heard before I fell into oblivion.
