“Then we should wait until we’re all together to talk about it,” Diego said. Jamie almost laughed. Of course he wouldn’t try to influence Jamie’s decision, as much as they both knew what they meant to each other. Their regard for Raven, though, was no less than their feelings for each other, and to try and sneak around would insult them all. For years they had avoided this moment of choice, aware some day they would be made to pick and one would be left out, always hoping, somehow, they’d find a way around it like they had found a way out of hundreds of life-or-death situations.
