08/11/xx Prologue   In that moment I had a sudden realization that something was wrong. I felt fuzzy, my mind was befuddled, my visions zoomed in and out, everything was out of focus. I grab my purse in the spur of the moment, my legs felt wobbly and heavy as I tried to put one foot in front of the other, trying to get balance, but my mind was giving me all the signals for danger, something was wrong. I could feel it deep in my bones. I needed to get out of that place, I needed to get fresh air… now, urgently. In distance, I could hear voices of people; drinking and laughing, unaware of the torment I was going through, nothing seemed clear, apart from my mind losing concentration as the minutes passed away. For a moment I did not feel anything if not numbness. My vision was slowly blurring. I looked down at my drink, still, in my hand, the crystal glinting in the dim lighting of the bar, clenched between my white knuckles the red fluid still mumbling in the depth of the glass. My eyelids were heavier now, a sudden rush of tiredness rushing through my body, leaving me breathless. Eriq was the last thought before I surrendered myself to the unconsciousness.
