SELENE/MYRA I entered my room, closing the door quietly, replaying Reid's words in my head. "Take it," he'd urged. "Enough to get you far from here. Start over somewhere else." I sank into the thin mattress, the temptation had been real, if only for a moment. Running would be easier and safer, but I couldn't do it. "I'm not a coward," I whispered to the empty room.
