NIA My scream tore through the night as Myra's body crumpled to the ground in front of me. Blood, so much blood, spread across her back, soaking through her shirt in seconds. Everything seemed to slow down around me, like I was trapped in some horrible nightmare. The rogue leader stood over her, a satisfied smirk on his face as he pulled his blade free. Blood dripped from the tip. "NO!" I barely recognized my own voice. I tried to move toward Myra, but my legs wouldn't cooperate.
