Third person point of view
-after Rebecca’s return from Boston-
Rebecca decided to expend her trip to Boston for another week before returning back home after the talk with the doctor.
And now it’s Friday, last day of school before weekend. Ella and Jay are close friends now and Rebecca is ignoring everyone.
“Do you think she knows?” Ella asked Jay. She has been spending a lot of time with him and Damiano.
“What?” Jay was leaning against his mate’s locker hoping she will show up because eventually she would have to.
“About Sam? Do you think that’s why she’s been avoiding us? Because we didn’t tell her? I mean he WAS her best friend.” Elle was looking around if anybody could hear them. But nobody paid attention. The past 3 weeks she has spent at the Snow Moon pack learning how to be a werewolf in a human school. She also wanted to avoid her boyfriend Sam and her mate Derek. Sam thought that Elle was sick while Derek thought Elle was with her boyfriend. And that’s where things got ugly.
“No. Yes. I don’t know. She’s been ignoring me for two weeks now. I mean the last time we talked…everything was fine. We even planed, to talk later that day.” Jay was slowly losing hope of catching Rebecca.
“I’ll stop at her place on my way to the pack. I’ll tell you how it went. Or do you want to come with me?” to be honest Jay felt like he did something. Something that didn’t involve Sam.
“No. Just tell me when you come back. And don’t forget about Derek.” Remembering what Derek did to Sam in front of her made her want to vomit. Tears came to her eyes and she wanted to run and hide and cry out. But she had to be strong for Sam.
“Hey. Everything will be okay. Sam is still in coma. Still alive not dead.” yet. That word hung between them for 3 weeks now. Jay and Ella parted ways.
-Ella coming to Rebecca’s house-
Ella parked in front of the house seeing Matt car seemed odd to her, since he was never here when their parents were. Rebecca never told Ella why Matt had a problem with their parents and Ella never asked.
Coming to the front door she heard a lot of yelling. Not sure if it was good for her to interrupt, she just went to the side where she knew she would find the window to Rebecca’s window.
Climbing on a tree and finally reaching the window was harder then, she remembered. Remembering all the times she climbed that tree made her remember why Rebecca could be mad at her.
Looking through the window she saw her best friend sitting on the bed staring at the wall. Unmoving.

Rebecca’s point of view
I have been home for the past week. It was easy ignoring Jay, Elle and Sam while I was in Boston. But now that I am home it’s almost impossible. So, I stayed home. Matt came with me and Tina is in Boston because of her studies.
Currently I am sitting on my bed facing the wall while Matt is in the kitchen arguing with mom and dad. He was mad at them for not noticing something was wrong with me.
I was sitting still when I heard a knock on my window. Looking out it was Elle. A part of me hoped it will be Jay. But I missed my best friend.
I walked to the window and opened it. I had no idea how to tell her considering she doesn’t even know about the first time. After she came in she hugged me and started apologizing.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for not telling you about Sam.”
Sam? What happened while I was gone?
I froze and she felt it and the look on my face told her I had no idea what she was talking about.
“You don’t know?”
I shake my head and take her hand leading her downstairs where I tell Matt I have to go with Elle because something happened. When we came to her car I stopped and turned towards her.
“You’re gonna get in the car and drive me to where ever you’ve been while I was gone and explained what you meant about Sam.”
She didn’t say anything just nodded her head and sat in the car. The drive was silent filled with tension you could cut with a knife.
“We are going to Snow Moon pack. Jay and Damiano live there. Everything will be explained once we get there. They already know we’re on our way there.”
When we came to a stop I looked outside and saw a massive house that was more like a mansion. At the door I saw Jay and Damiano. I figured that they knew something about Sam. I felt hurt that not Jay or Ella would tell me. I know I’ve been ignoring them but still. I wish they would tell me.
Sudden anger came to me and I jumped out of the car and stormed to where Jay and Damiano stood.
“What the hell happened to Sam?!”
Jay took my hand but I moved.
“I want answers and I want them now.”
Neither of the boys said anything and it started to piss me off. Finally, Jay broke the silence saying that I will get them when I calm down and when we will be inside somewhere no one can hear us.
After stepping in what seemed to be a home office Damiano left us alone saying that he has some work to finish.
What work? He’s a teenager. Ella and I sat on a couch and Jay on a chair in across from us.
“So? Will you tell me what is going on?” Ella opened her mouth to say something but Jay beat het to it.
“Only if you tell us why you’ve been ignoring us for the past two weeks.” I wasn’t ready to tell them anything but I guess I own them an explanation too. So, I just nodded my head and waited for either of them to talk.
“Becca…I just…promise me you won’t get mad?”
I didn’t talk just nodded because I was sure they could see I was already mad.
“It happened soon after you left. Sam called and said that he wanted to know what was happening and that he wanted to talk. So, I said yes. We decided that he will come to my place. So, Jay took me home. But I didn’t know that Derek would be there too. Asking about me. When…when he saw Sam, he…snapped and-” Ella stopped talking. So, Jay told me the rest of the story. How Derek wasn’t happy that Sam and Ella shred a history together and he hit Sam and wouldn’t stop until Jay stepped in so it was them fighting. Sam is still alive but in coma. Human against werewolf it’s a miracle he isn’t dead yet.
“I want to see him.” I looked at Jay. “Please?”
Jay nodded and took my hand. On our way to Sam, he said that we are in their pack house and that pack hospital is attached to it. We passed a lot of people – werewolves – who looked at Jay with respect and bowing their heads and with a puzzled look at me. Wondering what a human is doing in their pack house
After we came to a hospital like part of the building, I saw nurses and doctors and suddenly Jay pulled me in a room where Sam was laying. He looked like he was asleep, but I knew better.
Tears that I didn’t know where there started falling from my eyes when I saw his motionless body on a hospital bed.
