"I don't give a damn what you were instructed. Move." I ordered. "It's alright, Clyde," I heard the voice that grated in my ears like nails on a chalkboard. "I had a feeling it might be a little awkward for her." I sucked in my cheeks, and stared ahead, refusing to look at the man who made me a victim all those years ago. "Hello, Charlotte, it's been a while. You look amazing." I closed my eyes and breathed out. "I will make a f*****g scene if you don't let me leave right now," I said in a dark voice. "Who would you be making a scene for? I had everyone escorted to the backyard for fireworks." He walked into the library adjacent to my eyeline and sat in a large leather chair. I turned my head to look at him. "Her friend can go," Jackson said. "They brought a bodyguard with them, sir."
