“We?” Arius flashed Lyle a quick, amused eyebrow lift. “Do you think I am the only one?” They walked past an entrance very similar to the one that Arius used for his lair. Lyle almost paid it no mind, until a scent dropped over him that was so overpowering, it made him stumble. “What is that?” He stopped, staring at the curtain that hung in tatters over the entrance. “Do you smell that?” He didn’t know he was walking toward it until his arm was pulled back. “Not in there, wolf.” Arius shook his head. “Not yet.” “But I think…” Lyle’s speech faded and he cast through his thoughts for what exactly he was about to say.
