My thoughts pause as I fork the last bean into my mouth and straighten up in my chair.
Maybe it isn’t so public.
The gym is framed by a whole lot of windows, and visitors to the school can basically just wander into the sports centre and see the kids smashing it out with the free weights and stuff. It’s totally public in that sense. But there’s only like fifty people who use it. There’s a couple of teachers early in the morning who get in there for their natural high before they go and fight through the natural low of the rest of their day. There’s the boys Phys Ed class and the girls Phys Ed class and there’s a couple of Sports Science classes that might swing by every once in a while, then there’s the Firsts Coaches who occasionally send their players through to build up particular mus
