...Zander... It seemed Raine emptied a whole lot of pain out onto my chest in those woods. She had now gone silent, her face dropped into cold apathy. It's truly haunting to see the hurt dulling the sparkle of her eyes and deflating her spirit. Her ability to disassociate is clearly a learned behaviour from her past. That only spikes my rage further. Hearing even those minimal details of her childhood has me enraged and made me even more desperate for vengeance. The answers we sought remain unanswered for the most part. We expected Jared to be our enemy, and while he is most likely involved, there could be many more people searching for Raine.
