I woke up this morning excited. It was my birthday and the day of my party. Luckily, I got the day off from training and work to prepare for later. Mylay insisted on having the party on my actual birthday, a Friday, instead of tomorrow. I am not complaining, though. Today could be the day I finally meet my mate! Mylay said she invited a decent number of people from three neighboring packs within about 75 miles of us. "We could find our Beta female today!" exclaimed my wolf, Meer. "I know! Our lives could change today, so stay on high alert," I responded as Meer receded into the back of my mind.
