When I arrived at the club, I called Melo from my house before stepping inside.
I had a strong feeling that Isabella would try to do the opposite of what I told her.
She was stubborn, and I didn't trust that she would simply stay put just because I ordered her to.
The way she spoke about burning the house down told me she was serious. She wasn't the type to sit quietly in her room and obey without a fight.
Still, as frustrating as she could be, I loved her deeply, and I was determined not to lose her.
Melo answered on the second ring.
"Make sure she doesn't leave the house," I told him firmly. "Lock every door and activate the security system if you have to. Guard her with your life, Melo. If she gets out, you will not walk away from this."
