ALICA My eyes fluttered open, and the bright light of the room pinched my iris. I opened my mouth to yawn when liquid fire burned through my throat. Fuck!!! I winced and shut them tight. It hurts. My head throbbed as I held it, trying to recollect exactly what had happened. Did I get run over by a bus? It was the only logical explanation for why my legs, mouth, and head were ringing in such pain. I tried to turn, but something held me down. My eyes widened. Someone!! A very naked someone held me down, his hand wrapped firmly around my waist while he held me against his oddly comfy and strong torso. “What the hell??” I flung my hands to my mouth, trying to muffle my scream. Shit!! Who the hell is he? Why the hell is he naked? What was he doing in my room and on my bed? I glanced around, and the unfamiliar environment shimmered under the morning sun rays. Where the f**k am I? I shut my eyes, trying to recollect everything, and just then it all came rushing back. The betrayal of James and Evie, the club, my drinks, him, and our passionate night together. My soul left my being. I… I had spent a night with a man. Hot tears brimmed within my eyes. I could see myself in a casket if my mother finds out about this. I stared back at the naked and handsome man. The saying was true: the devil comes with a charming smile. I must leave before he wakes up; I didn't know what kind of person he was. Slowly and carefully, I slipped out of his grip. The cold morning air slammed against my bare skin. Was it always this cold, or were his arms just that warm? I didn't bother answering that. I scrambled for my clothes, which were still intact. Thank Jupiter! I tossed them on and fixed my hair until it was okay enough to walk out with. I made my way to leave but stopped. It was bad to leave him without a note to— Snap out of it!! I needed to get home. I stared at the wall clock. 9?!!! It was already 9!! It was breakfast time. Shit!! I spun and ran out. I needed to make it back, and fast. ~~~~~~ The ride home was awfully slow; it was as if the entire universe was against me. After thirty agonizing minutes, the cab pulled up in front of the house. I ducked out and rushed inside. My steps were halted when all eyes turned to me: father's nonchalant gaze, mother's burning gaze, and Evie's mischievous gaze. “I—” The sound of her hand reconnecting to my cheek echoed through the air. I staggered back at the impact; tears rolled down my cheeks, yet I kept my head lowered. “You little slut, where were you?? Where did you spend the night?? With who?? You rotten bastard.” She dragged me closer, but not enough. She hated having me close to her even more than she loved maltreating me. “Where did you go?? Speak before I forget you are my daughter.” Like she ever considered that fact. “Mother, please, calm down. You are stressing yourself. Alicia isn't a kid anymore; she must have gone out to spend some time with one of her boyfriends.” Her words poured fuel onto mother's anger. You snake!! If she were the one, mother would have tagged it as night readings, and believe me, it had happened multiple times. “I went to Summer's place,” I lied. Summer belonged to a wealthy family; she was the daughter of the Alpha's Beta. That was the only reason mother allowed me to keep her as a friend. “Really? Then let's call her just to be sure,” Evie added. Fuck!! This was bad. Plus, I couldn't object or it would raise suspicions. Mother pulled out her phone while I prayed silently for her not to answer. “Good morning, Aunt,” Summer's voice came through the speakers. “Good morning, sweetheart.” All traces of anger vanished as she talked to Summer ever so sweetly. “How are you?” “I'm fine, Aunt.” She proceeded to enquire about the Beta and everyone close to her before she narrowed down to me. “Summer, is Alicia there??” The call went silent. Please. “No,” she answered, and just when I thought it was over, she pitched in. “She was here, but she left a while ago.” Thank Jupiter!! “Really?? Did she spend the night with you?” “Yes, Aunt. It's all my fault. She had passed an important exam, and I wanted to celebrate with her.” At that moment, I felt like opening a temple and placing her in it. After a short talk, mother disconnected the call. “Like I said before, I was with Summer. I am sorry for getting you all worked up.” Lies! They couldn't care less, and I realized that today. “I have class; I need to get ready.” With that, I left without sparing any of them a glance. I was saved for now. ~~~~~ The next hour I arrived at school, expecting my usual bullies to push me down or mock me, yet none of that happened. Girls lined up at one side while guys stood at the other. I couldn't hear their full conversation, but all I heard was that he was coming. Who is he?? A new professor? No matter how cringe and shameful it was, people still had crushes on their teachers, which was disgusting. I bumped into Sarah; we had talked a few times. “Did you hear??” “No, what happened?” “He is coming.” “Who??” I asked, as confusion prickled through me. “There is a rumor that the Alpha's tyrant son is coming. The King of Bikes.” I stared, still confused. “You don't know him?” I shook my head while she rustled out a sigh. “Our Alpha has three sons.” That I knew. “First is Edward, the supposed future Alpha. Hot, and with an even hotter temper—the king of everyone. Anything less than perfection is trash. He is handsome and princely, yet nonchalant.” I nodded. “Second is Lucian. Cool, nerdy, but still hot. He barely speaks in the palace. He is the king of his own peace. He hates anyone disturbing him and is often absent from the drama.” She took a pause, her cheeks turning to the deepest shade of red. “And the last is Aaron. He is the King of Bikes, the king of himself. Unlike the rest, he isn't princely; he is ruthless, stubborn, and dangerous. He crushes anyone who stands in his way. He doesn't act like a royal and spends all his time with his bike.” She glanced around, then leaned in. “Rumor also says he has his own army deep in the woods. He is planning to take over; he is the ruler of the rogues.” “Huh?? Doesn't that seem a bit far-fetched?” He is the Alpha’s son; he can't plot against his own people or join those heartless wild wolves. “It is not. He was given the name 'Tyrant' by his own brothers. They saw the beast in him.” I trampled down the urge to protest. It wasn't my business, plus I had a lot on my plate. I was almost done with university—barely five months left—and my wolf hadn't awakened yet. It felt like I was just a human. I had a lot on my plate, and defending a tyrant biker wasn't on my list. Just then, a loud scream yanked me out of my thoughts. The voices increased while we hurried over to the window, peering down at the hurricane that waltzed into my university. My gaze caught a black bike that shimmered under the sun rays—a blue stripe design—while the driver sped with a jarring speed. More screams thudded. His bike screeched to a halt as he stepped down, and the students screamed harder. I peered at him, clothed in black jeans and a somewhat familiar jacket, his face covered with a helmet. He tugged off his thick black gloves, and another round of screams erupted. Slowly, he pulled it off and his face came into view. The world stopped. It was—he was… “Aaron!!!!!” the girls squeaked. I froze. “My one night stand is the tyrant biker.”
