Dionne “Hang on a sec,” Zara said suddenly, spotting someone across the room. “I’ll be right back.” I watched her leave, my thoughts still tangled, when I noticed Scott Tully’s son approaching me with a determined look in his eyes. He was holding a gift, I presumed, as it was wrapped in a shinny covering, I couldn’t tell—and his confident stride made it clear he was gearing up to try and charm me again. “Hey there, birthday girl. You know, frowning on your special day is a crime, right?” I smiled a little as his joke wasn't bad but I just had my mind occupied at the moment. He stood for a sec, noticing I wasn't into the conversation and sort presented his gift to me. “Hey, I had to rush to Glean and Shine because I forgot to bring a gift earlier. I’m not sure if you’ll like it, but…”
