Dionne They kept lingering around the school grounds as dismissal approached, waiting for the first batch of students to head home and leaving only us behind before calling their ride. I wasn’t going to do that with them today, not after their attitude toward me this morning. I was even surprised they didn’t notice Violet and me as we passed them, getting into Darlene’s car.
