Dionne I could feel him watching me, but every time I turned to catch him, he was already looking away. I turned my head slightly, just in time to see him glance away again, pretending to focus on the passing scenery outside the truck window. A small smile appeared at the corner of my lips as I wondered why was he even looking. Clearing my throat, I tried to force my eyes forward, yet I couldn’t help sneaking another glance at him. And of course, he was staring again. This time, he didn’t look away. Our eyes met, and for a second, we both kept moping at each other. Eventually, the tension in the truck dissolved as we both broke into quiet laughter, the kind that just sneaks up on you when you’re not expecting it.
