“Yes, you heard me right, Kalean,” I said even as my voice trembled.
“She’s my step-sister. And we are not exactly on good terms.”
He let go of my hand and sat back on the bed.. his eyes were now wide with shock..
That word sister brought awful memories of Diana to my mind again.
“I didn't know, little mate,” He argued.
“But that’s before. It’s in the past. It’s not now!”
“The past?” I laughed bitterly.
“She just threatened me through a text, Kalean!”
I reached for my handbag fumbling inside it until I found my phone then I unlocked it, flipped it over to the message that had ruined my afternoon… then shoved it toward his face.
He took the phone from me..I watched on as his eyes scanned the words, Diana’s claim that he was her man.
He growled out angrily after reading
