The softness that Caspian had poured into my soul only minutes ago turned cold… it turned into acid!
I felt it burning through my heart eating away at the faint hope I had allowed myself to feel.
I grabbed my handbag and began to walk out without saying a word to any of them.
"Jasmine!"
Caspian reached for my arm but I shoved his hand away.
"Don't," I bit out.
"Don't you dare touch me!."
I turned and marched out of the cafe, the bells above the door chimed a cheerful tune that felt like a mockery to my feelings….cool air hit my face as I stepped outside but it didn't do anything to dampen the rage I was feeling in my blood.
"Wait! Jasmine, please!" I heard Caspian call.
I stopped mid way spinning around so fast my hair whipped on my face blocking my view of him.
