Night Out

Alessia made her entrance into the house by hitting the door hard against the wall. Her aunt Maria looked at her from the kitchen with concern all over her and asked "Alessia, what's wrong, you don't look okay, and you seem angry and flared up." She said. Alessia overcame with rage, reviewed the events and blorted out "it's the Russos and they're always doing this - using their wealth and influence to get ahead. They don't care who they hurt in the process." Maria's expression turned calm, and she reached out to put a hand on Alessia's arm. "Alessia, not all Russos are bad," she said gently. But Alessia cut her off, her anger and frustration getting the better of her. "Don't defend them, Aunt Maria," she said, her voice rising. "You know what they did to you. They sacked you from your job as a maid at their estate just because you showed Giovanni kindness and compassion after his mother died". Maria's eyes dropped, and Alessia knew she had hit a nerve. Maria, her aunt, had never forgotten the incident that led to her being sacked from the Russo's estate and had sworn never to forgive them and seeing that her aunt's expression turned sour from the outburst, boiled with intense anger and frustration at the Russos and stormed out of the house into the street to get a drink to calm her nerves down and seeing a bar not too far away quickened her pace and walked into the bar. The echoes of music and the shouts of merriment from the crowd enveloped her, and she walked over to the counter to order a drink from the bartender. She found a corner and sat down close to the window and waited for her drink to arrive, but was lost in thoughts as her mind began to replay the events of the day against her will. She remembered her encounter with the Russos and the contract and how they stole the contract from them, which would have boosted her progress in the company and also in making her name as a renowned personality in the fashion world. The thought of it made her furious, coupled with her boss's reaction at the loss of the contract, made her day unbearable at work, and she knew the ease at work wouldn't be the same again. Her thoughts were interrupted by the bartender handing her a cup of whiskey, and it seemed the bartender knew what she needed at the moment and, with one sip of the drink, Alessia gulped down everything and closed her eyes, letting the whiskey down her throat. For a few moments, Alessia forgot about her troubles and didn't seem to remember anything, be it the Russos, the contract, her boss, and Marco, her ex-boyfriend. The only thing that she could remember was the effect of the whiskey on her and the burning sensation it released, but soon the effects started to wear off, causing Alessia to remember the misfortune and events of that day. She sighed, thinking about the weight of her responsibilities. Her aunt, who is now her responsibility to look after her, had been working as a maid on the Russos estate, gave her shelter after her parents' demise and showed her love and compassion, which helped her to ease her pain and stand strong quickly and also settle for a new life after her parents' death. Her aunt Maria worked as a maid for the Russos for over 20 years. She was kind and compassionate to everyone around her, which earned her the trust and love from everyone on the Russo’s estate and Alessia often played with Giovanni, the young heir to the Russo’s during holidays. But tragedy struck again when Giovanni's mother passed away suddenly. Giovanni was devastated, and Maria took it upon herself to care for him. Maria spent extra time with Giovanni after working hours cooking his favorite meals and putting him to bed by telling him interesting stories. Leonardo Giovanni's father got married to Francesca, a woman who is cunning and ruthless by nature, became jealous of Maria's and Giovanni's closeness and began to spread rumors that Maria was aiming to sabotage the Russos legacy and business by getting close to Giovanni and his father. Leonardo heard about the rumors and, having been deceived by Francesca, summoned Maria to his office. Francesca was present during the meeting, her eyes cold and calculating. Leonardo accused Maria of being disloyal, and Francesca chimed in, telling Leonardo that Maria was a bad influence on Giovanni. Leonardo sacked Maria on the spot, citing that she was no longer needed at the estate. Alessia was devastated when she heard the news. She had always looked up to Maria as a role model, and she couldn't believe that the Russo family could be so cruel. She began to distance herself from Giovanni, feeling that he was a part of the family that had wronged her aunt. As the years went by, Alessia's anger and resentment towards the Russo family only grew and she began to see them as a preliminary part of her problems and swore never to forgive them for their cruelty and ruthlessness towards her aunt Maria. The loss of the contract to the Russo’s had brought all these feelings flooding back and I felt that the whole universe was conspiring against her and, coupled with the antics of the Russos, made things worse. She didn't want to end up like her aunt, who was struggling to get by after she was sacked from the Russo's estate and another glass of whiskey from the bartender, and she took another sip of the whiskey feeling the burning sensation and effect going down her throat and knew she had to come up with a possible solution to salvage her situation. While she remained and continued in that same position, lost in the world of her own with her thoughts serving as barriers and walls shielding her from the happenings of the outside world, she didn't notice a man with distinct and excellent features staring at her, but felt a shiver run through her spine. She didn't notice him, but she could feel by instinct that someone was staring at her, and she took another sip of the whiskey and turned to scan the area as possibly as she could, and then she saw him, an embodiment of charm and chiseled features with striking handsomeness. He was staring at her with a little smile playing on his lips and at that moment she felt a jolt of shiver and electricity run through her whole being. She didn't know the mysterious man and why he was staring at her, but hoped she was in trouble for fear of being r***d.
