A charming male figure, walked to his balcony holding a glass of whiskey in his hand with a firm grip. He had everything he wanted in life really. He looked at his view of Lake Como, really happy he had bought the place after all. It was morning and he needed to get to work but that didn’t really matter right now. A female wearing only a bikini walks up to him, trying to cuddle him but he pushes her away. He wasn’t in the mood any longer.
“There’s some breakfast on the table. Eat and get out.” He replies coldly and the female walked away heartbroken. That was Giovanni Russo. The one who the ladies feared now. He walked back to his room and flings himself on his bed. The day didn’t have to start now.
It was at night that Giovanni truly came alive. His fame for womanising prompted him to visit various and expensive nightclubs . He was flirting with one who was perched on his arm even right now. She looked like a supermodel, Giovanni’s type of females.
Giovanni's father, Leonardo, stormed into the crowded nightclub one certain day, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on his son. Giovanni was surrounded by a group of beautiful women, laughing and flirting shamelessly. Leonardo's face turned red with rage as he watched his son's antics.
"How could you be so reckless and irresponsible?" Leonardo thundered, his voice echoing through the club. "You're the future of this family's business, and you're wasting your time on these...these..." He gestured disdainfully at the women, who scattered away at the sight of him.
Giovanni looked up, a mixture of guilt and defiance on his face. "Father, calm down. I was just having a little fun."
Leonardo's anger boiled over. "Fun? You call this fun? You're embarrassing our family and jeopardizing our business relationships. I won't stand for it."
With that, Leonardo turned and stormed out of the club, leaving Giovanni angry. He picked up a glass of whiskey and pushed away the females who were trying to pull him back.
A female with big does eyes and brown hair was confidently seated in an intelligently arranged office, looking through some files. She was a manager now, no small feat. Considering her background, she had come really far. This smart and confident lady, Alessia Bianchi was born into wealth. She had everything she wanted. She was the only daughter of her parents and she was determined to make them proud. She acted her SATs and was about to graduate from high school.
But trouble came when her parents were involved in a ghastly car accident and couldn’t survive the accident which led to their death, leaving Alessia who was 19 years old heartbroken and alone. And with no other person to turn to Alessia was forced to depend on the charity of her friends and neighbor.
Hearing of the tragedy, aunt Maria, the sister of Alessia’s dad offers to take Alessia in and provide for her. While working hard at the Giovanni’s mansion as the maid, she fends enough for both of them to carry on as normal. She puts Alessia through fashion school and supports her fully.
Alessia was reluctant at as to follow her aunt Maria to Lake Como but being enveloped by Maria’s kindness, her reluctance slipped away. Besides, it would be a good change, leaving Tuscany and all it’s tragedies behind.
She was determined to start afresh. She worked sometimes with aunt Maria, no matter how many times aunt Maria told her not to and also did a few jobs on the side to help around. Despite it all, she managed to pull through and graduated with Honors. She found a job quite easily due to all the recommendations she had.
It was at this time that Alessia met Marco, the literal perfect piece to complete her beautiful story. She was drawn to his cheerful personality. They complemented each other that way. He was the outgoing one while she was the introverted one. They just fit together. Slowly, she begins to fall for Marco, his charm and his witty smiles. He was safe and she loved safe. Marco asks her out and things couldn’t be more perfect.
But right now, staring at his picture on her phone, she couldn’t recognise him anymore. He has become so distant and they barely even saw each other anymore. Sighing, she turns off her ohje and tried to go back to work. There was no point in spoiling her mood over Marco.
Alessia had tried everything but nothing was working. She had tried communication but Marco was pigheaded. He didn’t see anything wrong and dismissed her as being paranoid for no good reason. Every time she tried to bring up the issue, he found a way to change the topic or just avoid the whole discussion . Alessia was getting frustrated. Things were becoming less and less perfect. They were fighting all the time now, even over the tiniest of things that didn’t bother Marco before. Her life is a mess.
She just found out that Marco had also been secretly working for the Russo’s. He knew she hated them because of how they fired aunt Maria and yet he still went to work for them. It was like he was purposely trying to frustrate her. She could not give him the satisfaction though but the whole issue was nagging in the back of her mind. She couldn’t get any work done. Sighing in defeat, she goes to meet her boss.
After getting a leave from her boss She confronted Marco in a crowded restaurant, her voice shaking with rage and hurt. As she approached the table, she noticed that Marco was laughing and chatting with a beautiful young woman, his hand touching hers as he spoke. Alessia's heart sank as she realized that Marco was flirting with the woman, right in front of her.
Marco's eyes flickered with guilt as Alessia approached, but he quickly recovered, smiling charmingly at the woman. "Ah, Bella, excuse me for just a moment. I need to talk to my...friend." He stood up, his eyes locking onto Alessia's as he emphasized the word "friend."
Alessia's anger boiled over as she realized that Marco was trying to downplay their relationship in front of the other woman. She felt a wave of anger accompanied by a feeling of humiliation.
The argument that followed was intense and dramatic. Marco's façade and tricks were revealed, revealing a deceptive and cruel personality. He gritted his teeth at Alessia, telling her that she was just suspicious and jealous and that she was hindering his progress.
Alessia flared up at such remarks from Marco and could not contain her anger and she slammed her hand on the table, making the glasses shake while expressing her disgust to his attitude. “How lovely! We’re just friends even after two years of dating. You are the worst person I have met I can’t believe I stopped so low. Well, I’m happy for you two. Your happiness would last as long as this manipulator doesn’t become a completely different person.” she spat.
The whole place fell silent with all gazes fixed on them as a result of the unfolding scene before them. Marco face turned red due to anger , but Alessia who was standing all along, walked out of the restaurant leaving behind Marco and her unsuccessful relationship with him.
As she walked out of the restaurant, she was met by the cool breeze of the night and at that moment felt a wave of relief wash all over her even as her anger and disgust increased blaming herself for loving blindly and stupidly without doing her background check on him and at that moment regretted committing herself to him.
And with new profound determination Alessia wiped her tears telling her herself that she can never cry over a man or have anything to do with them.
