The Warrior The bronze-skinned warrior picked through the remains of the creatures he had slaughtered: a severed head found a resting spot attached to a belt-hook; fresh teeth joined others on a necklace draped from a bull-thick neck; and talons adorned the rim of his leather boots. Korg paid keen attention to everything the man did. He had heard of tribes that marked themselves with the bones and flesh of enemies—a taunt to the honor of slain foes. Korg tried to stand but collapsed. The warrior motioned for Korg's hand, then helped him up and threw him over his shoulder as if he were a sack of grain.
