The day had come, and Declan could feel it. It had been a long negotiation, but Lind had agreed on a price for Victory Cupcakes. There were still contracts to sign and handshakes to make, but it was so close that he could taste it. And it tasted sweet. Humming “Maybe This Time" from Cabaret, he found his happiest suit. It was red and gold, decorated with tiny paisley designs. Adding a light purple shirt and jolly orange tie, he tucked in a bright pink pocket square. “No, thank you, Chatterton, please take the day off," Declan said, passing the limo as he headed for the garage. “Sir?" Chatterton asked. “I thought I would take the Triumph." The restored original 1962 MGB Triumph, detailed in Fire apple red and shining chrome, was the crowning glory of Declan's modest car collection.
