Chapter 25 Jess sat in the pilot’s seat as the Wanderer drew away from Solcant. One part of him desperately wanted to free the prisoners in the hold, wanted to be able to give them the same freedom he and Sal now experienced. Pitched against that was his desire to reach the Wanderer’s home system. It almost felt like an obsession, now. The Wanderer’s desire to get there had grown, and spread to Jess.
