Chapter 15
We left after talking with Carlos. Peter headed out to his car, while Moira and I walked towards mine. As I reached out to open my door, I saw two cops coming around the corner of the house. It clicked then who other two cars belonged to. They were unmarked police cars. Detective Byrd was covering all the bases, making sure they patrolled the house.
"Have they been here all day?" I asked Moira, nodding towards the two cops.
"Yes, they’ve been busy questioning the neighbors and searching the house for clues that might lead to Tommy. It’s been a beehive of activity around here today. Phones have been set up to record any incoming calls, and they have turned the upstairs guest bedroom into a control center."
