Chapter 19

MATAPOS naming naligo ay agad kaming pumunta sa kuwarto ni Soleil kung nasaan si Saville. Nakasanayan na kasi nilang mag aral kapag ganitong oras matapos ang hapunan.

"Mama. Papa, can we watched cartoons?" Tanong ni Saville habang naglalakad kami sa gitna ng tahimik na pasilyo hawak hawak ang kamay namin ni Cade.

"Don't you have class tomorrow?" tanong ko.

"Meron po. But I will wake up early so I don't get late I promise." tinngala ako ni Saville at parang nagpapa cute pa.

"Saville, ask your Papa." Napalingon kaming dalawa kay Cade.

"Papa, Can we?"

Cade smiled. "Of course, son."

"Yey! Mama, Papa said we can watch. Please." Humalik pa sa kamay ko si Saville na nagpailing nalang sa akin.

"Ayaw kong magwawala ka bukas dahil inaantok ka pa, okay?" medyo idtrikta kong sabi.

"Okay, Mama. I love you." Napangiti nalang ako kay Saville at pumasok na kami sa kuwarto ko.

Silang dalawa ni Cade ang nag hanap ng papanoorin at inabot sila ng ilang minuto bago makapili. Alas otso pa lang kaya ayos lang kung isang palabas lang panonoorin.

Gusto man ni Saville na kumuha ng makakain ay hindi ko na pinakuha dahil baka makatulog ng busog. Habang nanonood ng napiling palabas ay hawak hawak ni Saville ang mga kamay namin.

Nasa gitna namin ni Cade si Saville na nakahiga sa kama. Bahagya akong naka upo at hinahaplos ang buhok ni Saville. Iba ang pakiramdam kapag nasa bahay ako pero masarap sa pakiramdam na katabi kong matulog si Saville at ngayon ay katabi na namin si Cade na willing na maging tatay ni Saville.

Panay ang bungisngis ng mag ama na nagpapatawa na rin sa akin dahil ang dami pa nilang sinasabi. "She's so cute." bungisngis ni Saville sa batang si Joy sa palabas na Inside Out.

"You're cute too." bulong ko.

Tiningala niya ako at yumakap sa akin. "I love you, Mama." I almost cry to his words.

"I love you too, baby." Humalik pa siya sa akin bago muling hinawakan ang kamay ni Cade.

"I love you, Savi." Napalingon ako kay Cade.

"I love you too, honey."

Nang makatulog si Saville ay pinatay na ni Cade ang TV. Hindi manlang natapos ni Saville ang palabas pero alam kong ilang ulit na niya iyong napanood. Ganoon si Saville, walang sawa niyang pinapanood ang mga palabas na nagugustuhan niya.

"Bukas kakausapin ko ang Duke para malaman kung pwede ba tayong mag date and right after that we will go out with Saville." sabi ni Cade habang kinukumutan si Saville bago mag humiga.

"We can go out tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. But after that, I will do some errands. Bago umuwi sila Kuya." Tumango si Cade at bamangon para humalik sa akin.

"Goodnight. I love you, baby," he said before claiming my lips again but this time it's not a peck it's torrid. "I'm just here, remember that."

I nodded. "I love you, hon. Goodnight." His words made me feel at ease.

Just because it's Cade. The man I love. The man I always wanted to be with. The man I risk for. The man that I will always be my man.

NAGISING ako sa bungisngis ni Saville at bigla nalang ako naka amoy ng masarap napagkain. Ididilat ko na sana ang mata ko nang marinig kong magsalita si Saville.

"Papa, do you like pancakes?"

"No, I love pancakes."

"Papa, me too!" I heard Cade's laugh.

"I'm sure Mama will get busy again that she is here now. Dati po I can only see her in the morning. I always miss my Mama but she always saying that whatever she's doing it's for us." Bawat salita ni Saville ay puno ng tampo.

Nanatili akong nakapikit. "Are you mad at your Mom?" Cade's asked.

"No, Papa, she loves me. I can't be mad at her. Maybe she's always not here but I know she loves me. When Grandma died she didn't cry in front of me because she said Grandma won't like it. But I heard her cry when she's alone," napahinga nalang ako ng malalim. "Would you love my Mama forever? Papa, don't leave her. If you have fights, please, fix them for me. Please, Papa." bigla nalang ako nakaramdam ng may yumakap sa akin.

"Yes, Saville, I won't leave her forever. I promise." Cade said while hugging me. "Baby, I know you are awake. Breakfast is ready." He whispered.

Hearing those words made me feel guilty and sad for my son. I'm still young to be his mother and I know I didn't give him more attention and time because of my work years ago and because of the mess in our family these 3 years but he still loves me and never hated me.

Dumilat ako at kinusot ang mata ko. "Good morning." bati ko sa dalawa bago tumayo at pumasok ng banyo para mag sepilyo at mag hilamos. Pagkalabas na pagkalabas ko ay humalik agad ako kay Saville at Cade.

"Good morning, Mama. Kain na po." nakangiting sabi ni Saville na parang walang sinabi kanina.

"I talked to the Duke earlier and he gave us 5 days." Sinubuan ako ni Cade habang sinasabi iyon habang ako ay hinihiwa sa maliliit ang pancake ni Saville.

"Okay, after this mess, we will bring Saville to the Philippines." nakangiti kong sabi kay Saville na nakangiti na ngayon sa amin.

"I was thinking about buying a house." Napalingon ako kay Cade na ngayon ay nagkakape pa rin. He's topless and I think Saville wants to look like his father so he's topless too.

"A house. Why?" Tinuloy ko ang pag kain at pag subo kay Saville ng pancake.

"A house for us to settle." Agad akong napalingon sa kanya. Somehow it makes me happy that he wants us to settle after this mess but the thought of us just started this relationship makes me worry. "I will work and you will take care of Saville if you want you can continue working as a nurse. We can find a nanny for Saville. I'll take care of house bills, Saville's school, and everything just stay with me." Biglang dumagundong ang dibdib ko sa sinabi ni Cade.

I chuckled in happiness. "That's... sounds nice, hon. But thinking about Daddy right now it makes me feel anxious."

Those responsibilities are not at the right timing. Of course, we can do that in the future but what if something happens?

"I didn't say now, Savi. I know why I am here. It's for you and for my mission. I was just saying when all of this ended, I will take you to the Philippines and live with me. I love you, Savi. You know that. I just don't want you to let go. I want you around me." Seryosong sabi ni Cade habang hinahaplos ang buhok ko.

I smiled. "After this mess. We will come to you." He smiled too.

"That's a relief."

Malawak ang ngiti ni Cade hanggang sa matapos ang agahan namin. Ang liwanag ng mukha nilang dalawa ni Saville habang sabay sa naliligo sa bathtub. Para silang mag ama talaga kung titignan. I don't know who is the real father of Saville but I met his mother and she's beautiful but has an attitude.

I was about to come to Daddy's office but I remember that we have 5 days to have fun, and my worry never leaves me. I'm worried about my family. Their safety. All I want for them is good health and safety. There's something up to Dady that makes me more anxious but he doesn't want to tell me.

But just remembering Saville's smile and laughs with me and Cade made me realize something. I should make him happier. I walk into Dad's office. As usual, he's reading some papers before signing them.

"I gave you 5 days with your son, Princess, why are you here?" masungit na tanong ni Daddy. He's tired when he's being like that. I know him well.

Umagang umaga nagtataray si tanda.

I sat in the visitor's chair. "I want to bring them in Strasbourg. We will stay there in 5 days. I just want to enjoy those 5 days with them after that we will talk again." He doesn't look shocked I know he knows I suspecting him now.

"We will talk then." He smiled.

"You'll tell your secret to me." Seryoso kong sabi. Tumayo ako at humalik sa pisnge niya bago lumabas ng pinto

"Mama, pupunta po talaga tayo sa Strasbourg?" malakas na tanong ni Saville habang nasa kuwarto niya kami ni Soleil.

Cade is talking to her boss. I make sure that no one will be in danger while we're out of the city. I can't be just careless.

I smiled to Saville. "We will go with your Papa." nagtatatalon siyang sumisigaw marahil dahil sa sobrang tuwa.

"We will go to Strasbourg. We will go to Strasbourg." Pagkanta pa ni Saville habang tinutulungan kami ni Soleil na pag lagay ng mga damit niya sa bag niya. Natawa kami ni Soleil ng igalaw galaw pa niya ang ulo.

"He's happy," Soleil said while looking at Saville. "You're so lucky to have Cade." Nakangiti niyang sabi na ngayon ay sa akin na nakabaling.

"Yes, I am." punong puno ng kompyansa kong sabi.

I am indeed lucky to have Cade in my life. He accepts me and Saville, and he always made me feel his love in his own way.

The doubts that he might leave is gone. He loves me and that's all enough. I am ready to face the struggles between us but it seems we're special. Is this the end?

I laugh a bit at my thought. It cannot be that easy. Life is not easy like they say. We're not yet in the challenges in our lives. Maybe sooner or later we just see ourselves crying and thinking about what can we do to keep something?

I'm worried about Dad's secret. He will not drag me to the Philippines and live a normal life if I'm not in a danger but why? What is that secret he's keeping?

"Hey, baby." Agad akong napalingon kay Cade na hawak hawak ako sa kamay. "You okay? You're spacing out, baby."

Did I?

We're eating lunch with the whole family and they are all looking at me. "No, I'm fine. Just thinking something." Nakangiting kong sabi sa kanila ng makita ko ang pag aalala sa mukha ni Stephania lalo na ni Cade. Si Daddy ay nag iwas ng tingin at nagpatuloy sa pag kain.

"You sure? Savi, you can talk to me." Mahina niyang sabi at sobra ang pag aalala sa tono niya.

I smiled even more. "I'm fine. Don't worry."

Napipilitang napatango si Cade at itinuloy ang pagkain. Si Saville ay katabi kong kumakain at napatingin din sa akin.

"Mama, aren't you feeling well? Pwede naman po 'wag nalang po muna tayo pumunta ng Strasbourg."

This kid.

"No, baby, we will go there later after lunch okay? I'm all fine." Napatango si Saville at tinuloy ang pag kain.

I'm not good. I'm anxious over so many things. I shouldn't but how? I always anxious when I'm here in Orleans. When Mom died everything feels unfamiliar. I can't feel that I am at home. I don't feel comfortable anymore. Everything changed. And the worst feeling is I don't want to come back here to France even my family lives here.

If I can only bring Saville with me, I will but I can't, Daddy didn't let me. Can we just give up this title?

WHILE on our way to Strasbourg, I saw a rider following us. I keep myself calm and collected, I can't just shoot him. We have our personal diver together with Matthew and another 2 bodyguards with me. Of course, we have some bodyguards in other cars.

Cade is beside me and Saville is at the back with the two bodyguards. Matthew is in the passenger seat.

I expected this since I saw one when we're way in the house. I just didn't bother since we have lots of bodyguards.

I looked at Matthew. "Ready my gun," I whispered while tiying my hair.

Agad namang kumuha ng baril at pinuno ang magazine niyon. I looked at Cade that now is doing the same thing as Matthew. "No." I looked at Saville that now is watching some videos on his iPad.

I gave the bodyguard a sign to do something for Saville. Inilagay niya ang headphones sa tenga ni Saville and he connect to the iPad.

Saville looked at me I just gave him a smile. I know he knows what's happening. And my smile disappeared when I heard a gunshot.

"Savi." Napabaling ako kay Cade. "Let me take care of that punk." Maangas niyang kinasa ang baril bago binuksan ng pinto ng kotse at hawak hawak ang pintong binaril ang rider. He was doing it nice and charming. It's not at the right time but I admire him doing it. In those 3 shots, only 1 missed.

The rider roll over the road and his motorcycle crashed. Mabuti nalang ay maliwanag ang daan at walang natamaan ang motor ng rider na iyon.

Nang maisara ni Cade ang pinto ay agad siyang humarap sa akin at hinila ang batok ko palapit sa kanya. "I love you, baby." He whispered before claiming my lips to the fullest.

Even in the middle of this danger he never makes me feel so loved and wanted. Because he is Cade. "Drive fast, Wilson," I ordered the driver.

I look at Saville that now is looking at me. "Merci, Papa." Thank you, Papa. Nakangiting sabi ni Saville kay Cade.

Just a simple word from Saville but I saw genuine happiness in Cade's eyes. "Anytime, my son. Anytime."

My son. His son.
