Bring her to me!

1027 Words
DAMIAN ◇ From the moment she got sold to me, I knew she was my mate. Vasilla....it was strange that she didn't acknowledge me. It wasn't my intention to buy her but it turned into a win-win situation. Vasilla suffered in her home, coming to me as a slave was already a way out for her. My real intention was to keep her in my harem so she can be used by different men. Unexpectedly, she refused to acknowledge me. Did she hate me as a Lycan that much? Very well, I decided to use her as my s*x tool. Besides, I didn't want a weak mate. "What? -- why?" My hands trembled on the knife stuck in my chest. I stared at her bright eyes in anger and rage. Why would she kill me? Vasilla shook her head frantically, her eyes slowly watering as she stared at the blood that seeped from my wound. I was harsh on her but it was her fault. It was her fault for pretending we didn't have a bond. "I - I didn't -- I didn't mean to, I swear!" She pleaded, stepping backwards. I could smell her fear but it wasn't the time to dwell on such things. She tried to kill me and she has to pay for it. 'Guards -- bring the guards, someone tried to kill me' I managed to send a mindlink to my Beta. My strength was failing me. An ordinary knife shouldn't be able to kill a Lycan King but that knife was laced with poison. Isn't this shooting myself right in the foot? I had prepared the knife for sudden circumstances in case I got into trouble with an intruder but I didn't expect that same knife would be used on me. "Damian Willesden -- reject you, Vasilla -- as my mate." I struggled to say before falling to the ground. Vasilla froze, her mouth formed open with a sudden gasp. Her body shook slowly, the pain settling in her. "You rejected me?" She asked. "Isn't that -- obvious?" I whispered, a smirk curled up on my lips. She tried to kill me, that was enough proof to know that she was weak. Vasilla suddenly started laughing. She laughed so hard that tears began to seep from her eyes. I had no idea what was funny and saying more words would only make the stab wound ache. "Hurry!" -- "The Alpha's room!" Sounds of footsteps echoed in the hallway, they were surely coming this way. I could feel my bones growing weak. The poison was starting to take effect. Thank goodness the mind link went successfully or else, was this how my death would happen so easily? "Quick!" -- "There is a murder!" I was focused on stopping the bleeding and trying to act calm since help was on the way. Those foolish guards, they haven't bursted into the room yet? "Bye, Alpha." Vasilla shot me a glance before throwing the windows open. My eyes widened in disbelief. Was she planning to jump? My room was definitely high, higher than what she could jump all the way down. "What? You don't think I can jump? Well, there are some things that one would do to escape." Vasilla chuckled and down the window, I heard a sudden crash. I wasn't supposed to think about it but the worry laced in my heart. Did she escape? At that moment, my room bursted open. "Alpha..." Finn, my Beta hurried to my side. I struggled to keep my eyes open. I was carried to the bed immediately while the pack doctor was summoned. "How is the wound?" I asked. The pack doctor had a terrible expression on. He was contemplating whether to tell me or not. "Alpha, this --" He stuttered in fear. "Spill it!" My tone was firm but I ended up coughing. "I have managed to stop the bleeding but -- the poison has already travelled into your organs." He explained. My eyes narrowed in anger. That stupid female -- she almost succeeded in killing me. How would my pack be handled in that case? "What needs to be done?" I asked. "We may need some rare herbs. I advise the journey should be immediate. I will try to regulate your heart rate and body situation but those herbs have to be found before your health deteriorates." The pack doctor finalized. As long as there is an antidote. "Wait -- what of the antidote?" "It is what you are hanging on, for the blood to have stopped but you don't have much time." He emphasised. "Do you think I don't know that?" I snapped in irritation. "Easy, Alpha." Finn advised, standing beside me. But I couldn't control the anger I was feeling. Just then, the door opened again and the head of guards came in. "Where is she?" My voice was thunderous. "Alpha..." The guard fell on his knees immediately and I knew there was no good news. "We couldn't find her." He said, bowing his head. I took the poisoned knife where the pack doctor kept it wrapped in a handkerchief and threw it towards the guard. The knife landed on the wall just a little above his head and his pupils dilated in fear. "Find that woman for me. I want her back in this pack!" I roared in anger, ignoring the burning sensation I was feeling in my chest. How dare she stab me and try to get away with it? Did she think I would be powerless just because I was stabbed by her hands? She should dream on! When she gets back here, she should better forget about having a good life because I will make her feel miserable than when death takes her itself! Finn lowered himself to my ears. "Her trails were thin. It seemed she knew the way out of the woods very well." He whispered. I snorted coldly, not willing to believe it. She couldn't have gotten far. A weak wolf that couldn't recognize her mate, just how powerless is she... "Dead or alive, bring her to me or consider yourselves hanged on vulture rods!"
