VASILLA ◇
One mistake made my escape bursted. I didn't know the navigation of Alpha Damian's pack, it made me confused and just before I could get to the gate, I was arrested.
Well, I wasn't afraid because I knew I just needed to wait for another moment that felt right. I was locked away in the dungeon, baring on the cold floors and cornering towards the black wall - the moment I was waiting for came to me with open arms.
It was already midnight. But the guards were obviously strong, showing no signs of fatigue. Crawling towards the metal gate at the left hand side, I dipped my hands into my breast and brought out a wrapped substance.
"Sleep boys." A mocking chuckle escaped my lips as I blew out the contents to all four corners from inside the cell.
Every single guard that walked around ten meters close to the cell gates collapsed to the floor and fell asleep. It was a small potent powdery substance that I always had on me in case I ran into trouble. Who knew it would come handy?
I lunged my hand forward and pulled one of the guards by his clothes. By the gods, what do they feed on? He was incredibly heavy. My sore hands burned until I was able to grab the keys.
"You dared hit me?" I kicked the heavy guards after unlocking the gates but there was no time to vent my frustration and anger. I had to leave immediately.
My escape earlier wasn't planned well. Taking my escape through the gates wasn't an option. I glanced over to the walls and smiled. I didn't have a wolf, I was weak and to accompany that, I had wounds and bruises all over my body, thanks to Alpha Damian.
The ride up through the wall wasn't very exciting and interesting. By the time I landed on the floor, my ankle got sprained.
"Get the killer!" Several guards yelled. Don't they get tired? Well, my escape was already bursted but this time, I was fueled with the determination to not get caught because if they catch me again - Alpha Damian wouldn't spare me for the second time.
In no time, I became hunted. I was the prey for the merciless wolves chasing after me. Trying to kill Alpha Damian, it was natural for him to want to make me suffer and make my death painful but I wouldn't give him that satisfaction.
"Ah!" My knee hit the floor in a fall and my hands flew to my mouth before the sound could finish up. I looked around, blinking the blurriness off my eyes.
Dense woods. Everywhere was filled with darkness. My strength is incomparable to the wolves behind me. Struggling to stand, I knew I needed to hurry if I didn't want to get caught.
I continued to run barefoot, my wounds were bleeding badly and I was exhausted but there was no time to rest. Getting out of here would require some uniqueness.
But too bad, I have bad luck radiating all over me. It was obvious that death was smelling all around me. The scene of Tyler f*****g my mother blurred my vision and I gritted my teeth in anger.
If I die now, how would I take revenge against those two? No, I couldn't die. I raced in darkness, jumping over tall branches, and trying to see the road up ahead.
"Quick, fall back!" I heard a sudden howl but I didn't stop.
Just like that, there were still noises everywhere. It felt like I was the only one left in the woods. But something felt different. It felt like I just stepped into another trouble.
A thick fog appeared from nowhere. I rubbed my eyes, trying to get my vision correctly. Yet, I didn't stop running. I didn't want to stop. Alpha Damian's guards may be back for me but before they can, I need to get out of the woods first. Who knows if there would be a city ahead or maybe another pack?
I was finding it difficult to see. "Wolf -- a she-wolf" Whispers sounded and I turned sharply. The voice echoed and disappeared. I thought I was hallucinating then decided to rest a little.
But the danger of this place was screaming at me and I felt very wary of the woods. What if something worse happened and I can't defend myself?
"A stranger! Uph!" Another whisper. Instinctively, I touched the dagger I had stolen from one of the guards in my dress. I turned again but couldn't see anyone.
I glanced around and saw that there were only several large trees in the particular area. There was supposed to be a moon or something above but there was nothing.
All of a sudden, a realization dawned on me. "The Cursed land." I muttered. Never have I imagined that I would stumble on what I have only heard as stories since when I was young.
"Zeus!" I shouted in fright. Oh, this isn't good. My instincts told me to run back the opposite way and get out of there since going back to Alpha Damian's pack wasn't an option.
Where I was -- "Cemetery." I whispered, looking around. Some kind of force was pulling me in, wanting me to move closer. As hard as I tried not to listen to it, my body reacted by walking towards that particular grave.
The grave had familiar old writings on them. I looked at it but they were all strange languages. What was an ancient grave doing in the middle of the woods? Was my fate playing a hard one on me?
"What is this?" I asked no one in particular and stretched my hands onto the carved stone. It looked terrifying yet I wanted to have my touch on it and feel what it looked like.
A loud rumble occurred and I stepped back. Something screamed at me to run but I couldn't move. The ground started cracking open beneath my feet and before I knew it -- "Ah, help!!" I fell into the large open pit. I am surely doomed.
