Possessive Gentleman

Chapter 2

While I was filled with thoughts of what just occurred,Leila walked in.We usually live together in this house plus it’s big enough for at least four people.

”Girl start talking”,she sounded so hyped,giggling at me.Leila always tries to set me up with guys because she thinks I’m missing out on love.But i detest men,it doesn’t mean I’m lesbian either.

”He just wanted to drop me off,nothing serious”.

”oh yeah?I saw the way he opened his car door for you,omg he’s a gentleman…he is so handsome girl”,she smiled at me,poking my elbows.

”What if he’s THE ONE?He looks so perfect,did he take your number?Please tell me he did”.

“He did take my number…he talks—weird,like—”.I attempt to mimic his low rich voice and way of speaking—I clear my throat-

“IF YOU PROSTRATE BEFORE THEE I MAY GRANT THINE WISHES”.Leila laughed so hard “what the hell??You’re probably just exaggerating—that does sounds like someone from a very very rich background,hmm”,we both laughed.

”But how do you feel Tee?Does any part of your body hurt from the accident?”,she asked looking worried and touching my cheeks.

”Nope I’m fine but I’m quite hungry”.

”oh oh I’ll go cook up something for you okay,just stay here”.She leaves to the kitchen and i strip down my clothes so i can have my bath.I get in the bathroom and turn on the heater,putting the shower at the right temperature.

I finish cleaning up and tie a towel round my chest.I get to my wardrobe put on some clothes and walk over to my bed to get my phone.

I check my i-message and see a text from an unknown number,it read”Hello Tiana,this is Aiden”.

For some reason,I felt worked up and anxious,I didn’t know how to respond so I slid my phone under my pillow and headed to the kitchen to meet Leila so as to distract myself.

I bumped into Leila on my way there.

”And I was just on my way to call you”.She held my right hand and led me to the kitchen.”I made your favorite-macaroni and cheese”.She looked pleased with her work.

“Hmm,looks appetizing”.I sat on the stool near the kitchen counter and took a bite from the food sitting close to me.I wasn’t that surprised by the taste,knowing Leila is a great cook.

“Yum…what about you?Have you had something to eat?”.I said holding a spoon full of mac and cheese for her.She came closer and sat next to me taking in everything in her mouth.

“Yeah,i got burgers at a drive thru while I was on my way here”.

I didn’t want to tell her about the text because I know she’ll just force me to reply.

I took my mind away from it by watching tv and eating snacks all day.I checked my wrist watch

and it was already 8pm.

“Woah,so I can actually go hours without using my phone”.

I walked up to my room and saw Leila laying on her bed watching a movie.

The large room contains two beds placed across from each other and plenty of room to move about.

“I feel tired”,Leila said,yawning.

“Go to sleep now”,I said calmly,walking over to her bed sitting by her side.I placed my hand on her face and gave her a light kiss on her forehead.She smiled and told me goodnight and proceeded to my bed next.I reached under my pillow and grabbed my phone,contemplating if I should respond to Aiden now.

I opened my I-message app and proceeded to text him-“Hey there Aiden,I’m sorry for the late reply,I was….busy”.I clicked send and after a minute he texted back.

“Busy with what if I may ask?”

I started thinking of a lie I could tell “Work”.

“Upon your discharge from the hospital,you dove headfirst into work rather than resting,pathetic”.

I chuckled at the way he typed.

“Well,I’m resting now”

“Okay”,he texted back.

‘What’s this guy’s deal’ i thought,then another message popped up.

—”Would you have the pleasure for joining me for coffee tomorrow?”

I had to think-‘it’s not a big deal,it’s just coffee,what exactly could that lead to?It’s not like I want him or anything’.

“Yeah sure,what time and where?”

“Approximately 1:30pm,I’ll be there to pick you up…have a good night rest.”

“Okay…you too.”

I turned off my phone and went to bed.

Leila woke me up the next morning.

“Wake up Tiana,it’s already 10 a.m,damn”.She said,running to and fro in the room.

“What are you doing?“,I rubbed my eyes yawning and trying to sit up.She ran to me kissed me on the cheek and said “I have to go drop my sister at the airport,I’ll text you okay?”,her voice fading off as she ran outside to her car.I heard her engine start and die off due to the fact she’s already far gone.

I unlocked my phone and checked for new messages,but my eyes were really looking for his name.Unfortunately,he didn’t text me.

I began the day by running into my regular routines.

After a while,I checked my time and it was already 12 p.m.

I picked my phone and walked to the kitchen to eat something.I replied to all Leila’s messages but it seemed like she wasn’t online.

I went over to my wardrobe to pick out clothes that I was going to wear for the coffee date with Aiden.

I’m someone with a very unique and specific fashion sense,I always love looking good.

I picked out a black leggings and a blue fitted crop top and topped everything off with a short black denim jacket.

It was already 1:23 and Aiden texted me saying he’s on his way.I quickly cleaned up and rushed to wear my clothes.For the shoes,I wore a short black leather boot heels.The clothes complimented my body.I wore my jewelries and carried my small bag,but first rechecked if my taser and pepper spray were there.He texted me saying he’s outside.

I ran outside and saw his car.He was standing in front of it with his eyes staring at his phone.

‘Oh my God,he’s hot’,I mumbled to myself.He wore plain black pants that looked well straightened and a normal black shirt.

“Hi”,It felt unusual that I was this shy,knowing I’m never shy.He looked up and I saw how his eyes traveled through my body.

“Hi”,he replied in a low tone.He went over to open the passenger’s door for me and signaled to me to get in.I walked inside,then he shut the door and got in to the driver’s seat.Whole time I was thinking ‘this guy didn’t even compliment me or my outfit,what an asshole’.

“Buckle your seat belt”.He demanded.I did that.

I started having second thoughts about him.I brought out my phone to text Leila and tell her everything.He started driving.

“I’ll be taking you to the ‘MILLIE’S CAFE’,it’s not that far”,he kept his gaze on the road,his hands tight around the steering.I kept texting Leila but she wasn’t responding.

“You shouldn’t text while I’m talking to you”.He said firmly.

“You didn’t even say anything”,I replied with speed.

“Feisty huh?”,a smirk forming on his lips.

I knew the ‘MILLIE’S CAFE’,it’s a very elegant place and their items aren’t quite cheap.

We got there in less than 10 minutes and I was out of the car in no time.The cold from the AC welcomed us as we got inside.He led me to an empty space with comfortable chairs.

“What would you like?”,he asked.

“Uhh,a cappuccino would be good”.

“That’s basic,but okay.”,he left to go get it and I sat there regretting already.’he acts so non-chalant,ugh huge mistake’.

He came back with two cups and two donuts.

“Would you like donuts?”

“Yeah sure,thank you”,i said while collecting my coffee and a donut.He sat opposite me staring.

“Tell me about yourself Tiana”.

The way he says my name just sends me.

“What do you wanna know about me Aiden?”.I took a sip out of my coffee.

“Where are you from?”

“London”

“I could’ve guessed that.Well I’m from here,I’m Spanish.He kept his gaze on me even while drinking his coffee.

“Oh,I’m British…do you live around here?”,I asked trying my best not to make eye contact with him.

“Not really,my house is a 45 minute drive from here.If I may ask,is your family in Spain with you?”

“Uhh,no,my parents are divorced and they uh abandoned my little brother and I a few years back.”I spoke softly.

“Well I’m sorry to hear about that.Where’s your brother then?”

“He’s at his boarding school.That’s where I was coming from the day that stupid ass car hit me.”

“I see”.He took a bite from his donut.

“What about your parents”,i asked.

“They’re not happily married,never had that I know of”.He looked away.

“So why do they stay together?”

“Neither of them are willing to give up any of the money.To get a divorce,it’ll get split up and they are both very greedy so they decided to stay together”.

“Wow”.

“Yeah.”

We talked and shared a lot with each other,i was starting to like him.His arrogant and gentleness combined makes it hotter.He had to go to his work so he dropped me off at my place and left.

Later that day I told Leila everything and she was happy for me.I spent the whole night chatting with him,enjoying him.
