Normal POV:-
After Damien’s confession, Irene couldn’t help but to distance herself from everyone. She couldn’t resign so she took a leave saying she has been shot and needs rest, the thought of seeing him again made her somehow tenses. Unsettled by his confession, she needed time to comprehend. Damien didn’t try to follow her traces and let her walk out from his life, knowing each moment is taking her away from him but there’s no denial in the attraction he feels for her but she would never accept it and he has to move on with this one sided journey, she won’t accompany him. Never.
But he would gladly accept her rejection even if it could help him walk together with her for a few steps, for sake of his lost heartbeat, he would happily offer his love so he could have her in his presence
