“Are you fine now after getting beaten up by her?” I asked in irritation to Esmei who was sitting with a smirk still plastered over his handsome features. “Surely not.” His smirk grew wider when Irene came. “I apologize, Sir.” She said, looking down. I looked at her flabbergast. It wasn’t her fault nor I ordered her to do so. “It’s fine.” He smiled and she left for the room.
