Before truly losing my consciousness, the last thing I heard was a little girl's screams. Who was that? Or was it truly her screams that I heard? I now doubt myself, even my whole being.
"Why did you kill us?"
"You are a monster."
"A beast! Much worse than our species!"
I heard the screams and pleas of the vampires that I had killed. How many are there? Four? Five? I do not even know. How could I not bother to know? I truly am a beast, as they say. Funny that the only thing I recall right now is that I killed some vampires, and I was so guilty thinking that they might have families waiting for them to come home.
