The air crackled with energy as Vlad’s voice echoed through the chamber, powerful and unyielding. My heart soared at the sight of him, my fierce protector, the love of my life. My mate and my heart… yet dread lurked in the back of my mind.
Fear. Anxiousness.
What if this was his plan all along? To use me as bait just so he could get Vladimyr? Or.. Lucifer?
Thalion merely smirked, seemingly unfazed by Vlad’s entrance.
“Oh, how touching,” Thalion taunted, folding his arms with a mockingly amused expression. “You have come to save your little wolf. But tell me, Lucifer, how does it feel to have so much to lose? So much to lose, again?”
