The First Hand

2 PROLOGUE

In seconds the lands were destroyed..explosions ranging like an entire country decimated just with missiles. In this battle, only three objects were seen. One was a creature looking worm-like: it spanned about one-quarter of a continent. The other was a spacecraft that was the length of almost a thousand blue whale. While the last thing to be seen was a speck of light, twirling and travelling around the skies in almost light speed.

'Negsus..why are you still here!' The Commander sounded exasperated.

Inside of his spacecraft, a lady sat close to a huge screen and operated the system from there, 'I can not leave you, Commander.'

'I don't need this much power.. if you don't reduce the output of the energy you're firing, you'll blow this planet away!'

'I'll take that chance..what is left of it anyway!'

The Commander sighed inside his suit as he continued to s***h out his weapon, creating waves of destructive energies.

This battle took place deep inside the earth's atmosphere where everything was covered in darkness, even the clouds. Only momentarily clash of energies illuminated the atmosphere in a second before waning out.

'Grimm..!! Cover me! I'm going in!'

'Be careful sir..!'

With that said the Commander's boots emitted more energy than it previously did. Making him fly in about two times his original speed. He was aiming the inside of the planet worm, that was through its mouth. He knew it wouldn't cause more damage but at least it was better than trying to harm its impregnable body.

As he flew, it didn't take him to cover hundreds of miles in seconds. But unknown to him, the worm had thoughts of its own. How can a creature that big have the brain of an ostrich? In comparison, it is far smarter than Mankind. It is able to think, show happiness and also express anger. This was something Taurus Optimus didn't know or rather, neglected.

The beast kept its mouth open while its attacker kept hitting it. It knew their plan, they plan to fly into its core and detonate from the inside out. It wasn't going to kill him, but with that kind of explosive power going off inside him, his innards sure would definitely get it.

Commander Optimus flew at an unbelievable speed across the dark skies to his adversary. Moments from getting to fly into the mouth of the beast, the beast changed course by raising the upper body upwards and trapping Commander Optimus below it. It didn't take seconds for it to s***h down at Optimus, burying him underneath it.

'NO..!!' the Commander's apprentice called out before firing enough energy blast to the planet worm. The worm simply responded by opening its mouth, driving the blast inside it.

'What the hell...' the lady in ship murmured as she guessed the next action of the beast. It was going to send the attack back to her after powering it up in its core

'Oh..shit! s**t! s**t!'

Vroom-Peeng!

The beast reopened its mouth and the beam the spacecraft sent to it was released at a rate faster and more destructive than how it originally was. But instead of disintegrating one part of the ship it collided with the defensive mechanism of the spacecraft – force field.

The moment the beam hit the ship, every machine inside of it was immediately affected and this caused them to act out of control simultaneously without command.

It took more than 20 seconds for the attack to decrease, and at that moment the ship had already lost 30%–40% of its battle power.

'Dynosium..!! I need more power!'

'Requesting for supplementary energy would only impair the negative protocol for M-I 1.'

'Don't! Tell! Me how! To do! My job..!!'

'The M-I 1 protocol would inevitably eliminate this world and—'

'Do It!! This so-called earth is a s**t-hole already!'

'...Affirmative Commander.'

While the planet worm prepared to attack the spacecraft, the missile projectiles of the ship which were attached to the wings began to interconnect and transform into a larger vessel containing pure cosmic energy.

'Let's light this baby up!'

As if the planet knew of the preposterous plan they were cooking up, it howled in exasperation. It too had plans of its own. It reopened its mouth again, and without wasting time its body began charging up layer by all in effort to finally wipe out the ship.

'Initiating countdown.. 10.. 9.. 8..7.'

Unexpectedly during the countdown, a voice interrupted them, 'Grimm..' ~zzz~

'Wait..! Commander?!''

~zzz~ 'Grimm...' ~zzz~ '...fi–' ~zzz~ '..re'

'Are you alright Commander..?!'

~zzz~ 'Blo–' ~zzz~ 'it..' ~zzz~

'I can not read you Commander!!'

'Fire Grimm...FIRE!!'

Upon hearing her Commander's request, an imperceptible smirk ran across her face, 'You don't have to tell me twice.'

Vroom-Peeng!!

The mighty beam travelled only in seconds from mile to miles. Destroying everything that lay on top the earth surface and illuminating one part of the world to an extent.

If you were expecting some sort of action beforehand, then you're in luck. Because no life form can survive such an attack.

Because of this attack, half an entire country was lightened up. A very bright light that grew bigger and bigger kept expanding at the end of the world. Even the lady inside the spacecraft had to pull her head away and cover her sight with her forearm.

'Commander Negsus. Our power has dropped to 60%. I suggest we initiate the negative protocol for M-I 1 before we run out of supplies.' Said the computerised voice.

The lady, Commander Grimm ignored the computer and kept looking anxiously for any sign of her Commander. Seconds passed... Minutes... Even after 15 minutes passed, her eyes kept looking through her screen in agitation.

'Commander?!...do you read..' She whispered to herself.

Moments upon moments, there was no answer to her question. It was not so hard to believe that her Commander, could not make it.

Arrriiiggghh!!

A sudden scream from nowhere broke the silence. The lady couldn't see what made the screen but her computer screen zoomed in to about 500miles and the image of a robot hovering so high in the air could be seen.

'Commander..!!' She screamed.

'Do you..have..another..one of..that..? The Commander managed to talk.

'What..the..' When she saw what was before her Commander, she realised the planet worm hasn't yet been wipe away, 'Shit.!'

'Grimm..!!'

'Yes...Commander!'

'Fire..' He said gently.

'What..?'

'I said..fire.'

'Get out of there Commander..' she timorously spoke.

The Commander smiled for a moment before saying, 'It has been my greatest honour to work with you... Commander Negsus Grimm.'

'Nooo!!!'

He kept smiling as he spoke, 'Dynosium..!'

'Yes, Commander.'

The old man kept quiet before saying, 'Do it.'

'Yes, Commander.'

'No!! Dynosium..you listen to me!' As she spoke the system of the spacecraft starting counting down.

10.. 9.. 8.. 7..

'No!!' She shouted then whispered, 'Commander.'

~Charge up complete~

'No!!'

Piiuuutchh!!

Before the beam was released from the ship, the Commander had already fired his at the planet worm. But instead of his beam to damage the planet worm it started stealing its life force from it.

The beast cried in pain as it felt its life seeping slowly away from it. This whole scenery happened during the countdown and after it ended the spacecraft enormous laser came striking both the man and the planet worm.

It was a pity the planet worm couldn't survive another attack like this after its life force had been drained from it. Little by little, its body part pilled of and slowly disintegrated in thin air inside the laser. As for the Commander, he screamed as high as he could.

This is what he wanted. He needed the planet worm's energy that was stored inside its core. Something like that would give him a kick start to artificially jump through realities while the energy beam from his ship was to finally wipe out the worm.

The only thing left for Commander Negsus to see was a bright thin light shooting up into the clouds above and out of the earth. Then what followed this light was the initial darkness looming in the earth.

'Commander..' she called out to her herself.
