Truth 13

It was Sunday. My back was pressed against Sebastian's chest as we lay on the big couch his index finger was running over my hip back and forth as we watched or at least tried to watch some weird show.

It felt so good. Too good actually. I was at peace with him by my side. There was no hitting no yelling I didn't flinch every time Sebastian's skin came in contact with mine when he would kiss my neck or touch my hip when my shirt had ridden up, even if he would pull me closer to him as if I were going to vanish like a puff of smoke. Over the week he's worked his butt off at tracking down that unwanted rogue but he left no trace. I saw Laura and I had never upset her more until now. She felt so neglected that I went to the flower shop to get her a big beautiful bouquet. She forgave me soon after because it was nothing like the bouquets that Conrad had gotten her. Me and Sebastian had came to a conclusion that it was okay for me to keep some belongings at the condo so that it looked as if I was still living there. I had also told Laura that I went on a date with Sebastian even though we clearly have yet to go on one.

The pack had warmed up to me a lot and especially Thalia, the children couldn't get enough of her. I helped in the kitchen with Lilliana and other lady's who were so generous for the exception of a young woman who was about Sebastian's age who kept shooting glances at me every five seconds. That's when I found out she was one of Violets old friends who I later found out her name was Mia. She was pretty with her medium length hair that had a little bit of highlights in it and her tall figure that towered over my five foot four inches.

"..Isabella" Sebastian hums as he snuggles into the back of my neck

"Yes?" I ask curiously grabbing onto his hand to stop from making my hip tingle before I did something that I wasn't ready for but when it came to Sebastian who knows? Right?

"You remember the night of the pack meeting right? When I had brought you upstairs and changed you into your shirt..yo-..you had little scars covering your body. You've never told me about your past other then the fact that you went through a rough time and that you had to leave but, those scars that paint your body say otherwise Isabella." I tense up a little beside him, he had never said anything before.

"You never really pushed me for questioning." I say raising my eyebrow even though he couldn't see the worry on my face

"Well when your ready I'll be here." he says trailing his lips over the back of my neck

"Mmm..kay" I say falling into a daze as he lifts himself just slightly so he covers my lower half with his muscular body.

Over these past few weeks I've noticed how he's cautious with some of the moves he makes. He won't kiss me..at all and it drives me insane it's always trailing his fingers over my hip or kissing my neck so much that he leaves little bite marks. I don't know how he does it he just does and it's an exotic feeling. Like right now as he lowers his lips so that he's kissing my chest but doesn't pass the material of my tank top. It's a thrilling type of feeling like riding on a roller coaster.

"You smell so good..like woods and baby lotion." he says nipping at my neck. The comment doesn't even bother me. I'm too caught up with his lips on my skin that make me go haywire.

I wrap my arm around his neck and inhale his scent as my lips skim over the junction between his shoulder and neck. As soon as my canines come out I hear Thalia upstairs crying and hear her flip over in her pink sheets.

With a huff Sebastian pulls away and helps me off the couch.

"Don't pout" I say as he pulls me towards his chest

"I'm not pouting just frustrated."

"You think I'm not" I say whipping around and heading towards the stairs as fast as I can. I hear the pounding of his feet against the tile and he catches my hand before I can take another step.

"Seb I nee-"

"Do you wanna go out tomorrow..? Just you and me?" He says in a rush

"Li-..like a date?" I say raising my eyebrow

"Yea..like an official date" he says pulling me down as I hear Thalia get quiet and mumble baby words to herself with my hearing.

"Maybe you should've asked me the second time we met remember? You know what Maybe even the third time when we met again at target and you almost tore my head off when you found out about Thalia"I say biting my lip

He turns his head around so he doesn't look at me and winces at the memory.

"Sorry, but remember I did ask you out and you declined the offer." he whispers under his breath

"What? I don't think I heard you, can you repeat what you said please?"I say sarcastically while turning my head and pointing my finger to my ear

He looks back up at me with a playful glare and his ears turn a slight shade of red.

"I'm sorry bout that" he says still not releasing my hand

"Wha-.."

He pulls me forward, cups my cheeks and looks me directly in my eyes with his green orbs.

"I'm sorry Isabella okay. I am but how would you feel if you found out I had a child with another woman? I've warmed up to Thalia she's beautiful and has the gleam in her eyes like her mother. I would do anything I possibly can for that kid and I've only known her for a few weeks but I feel as if I've known her for the nine months that she was in your womb." He says his chest rising As he breaths from his nose. I couldn't hold back anymore. I don't know if it was the right thing to do or not but it felt oh so totally....indescribable. I kissed him. I totally kissed the hell out of him.

My lips were on fire and I'm guessing so were his because immediately he wrapped his arm around my waist and with his other he grasped the back of my neck and pulled me so close to his muscular chest that a thin piece of paper couldn't come between us. My body was full of electric shocks from where he skimmed his hand over my waist. He couldn't keep his hands off of me, but I wasn't complaining, hell no. He kissed me so fiercely that I moaned deeply into the kiss and that seemed to encourage him more as he pushed me against the wall of the stairs and held my hands above my head. I was breathing so hard as was he and it was getting stuffy in here.

He pulled away no longer than a few seconds and he looked down at me his hands still in mine above my head his lips were red and puffy from all the kissing, lip biting, lip tugging. His eyes were so black that I could see myself through the reflection of them.Black. Dark and beautiful all in one.

"Thalia's been mumbling baby talk again to herself Bella." he says giving me a kiss on the forehead.

I rush up the rest of the stairs two at a time as I hear Sebastian huff out a laugh.

An hour later Laura had called and invited me for lunch, we were at a cute little restaurant named Pinky's they had amazing shakes and their fresh picked fruits were as sweet as your average candy. Thalia would not stop mumbling and her beautiful big eyes were captivating me and Laura every time.

"So have you met Sebastian's mom yet?" Laura ask's as she chews on her orange.

"I have and she is an incredible woman for putting up with Seb." I say laughing and giving Thalia a tiny piece of fruit, "First time I met her she actually cooked us pizza and it was pretty amazing. I also met his sister, she's a complete sweetheart."

"Aw Violet she is a sweetheart, just like her mom. I remember when they were kids...he was the kindest little kid ever and had those vibrant green eyes that you couldn't pull away from and his personality is just like his fathers, mysterious but kind and polite. Violet was always so kind, you never caught her disrespecting her parents." I look away a little teary eyed because Sebastian had his father, unlike Thalia who's father was a drunk and beat woman almost to death but now Thalia finally will have someone there to hold when she has her first heartbreak, her first shift, when she falls and scrapes her knee and needs someone to kiss the pain away.

We leave the cafe and Thalia is now sound asleep in the back with a pacifier in between her cute little lips.

"Isabella..I..I know that you went through a rough time with Thalia's father and that day of the hospital when Thalia was born you had some scars on your stomach and some fading bruises on your face but you never.. Ever spoke about him and you brushed it off every time it came up" I looked away from her and out the window at the passing pine trees and huge rocks that looked over the lake. I inhaled and then exhaled and thought to myself 'open up let it go you can trust her she's like the mother you never had'.

I looked back at Laura and she turned towards me taking her eyes off of the rode for a second.

"He was a drunk and it was long ago and I had no control ever. I had to get away he didn't hit me while I was pregnant for those nine months until that night that I came here. I had to get her away from him she couldn't go what I went through I wouldn't have let it happen so I had to leave, I ran away from him that night that she was born."

A tear dropped on my hands that were siting on my lap and I bit my lip so hard so I could hold it together and not let what that bastard did to me break me down.

"Did he ever ra-" I shook my head not wanting to push the memory any further

"That night I woke up bloody everywhere from my head to my toes Laura. The feeling was excruciating and I hated him so much but he gave me Thalia and I can't forgive him but I can thank god that I was given this beautiful baby girl and made me who I am today. I went through counseling during those nine months while she developed. He knew and it worked he had threatened that if I told anyone other than the counselor I would be dead. I was scared to confront it to anyone I got rid of the memories, the pain and that weak feeling that had held me down for so long."

Laura cried and I couldn't take it anymore the history that was held above my head all this time was gone but the one who needed to know the truth was the man who has got me In a daze. I didn't know how to tell him and I didn't want to reflect on it.

A ringing sound was heard from my bag and I reached for it. Sebastian's name appeared on the screen of the phone and with shaky hands I accepted the call and his deep voice was heard from the other side

"I need you to come home now. Are you safe? Is Thalia there with you? Are you hurt?"

"We're fine I'm with Laura, Seb what's wrong?"

"I need you here now. Someone attacked a pup. You need to come Isabella."
