"Ahhhhh!!!"
Sabrina jolted up from her bed. Beads of sweat formed all over her face, her chest was heaving as panic surged through her body. Her eyes flickered around to find the warm and cozy atmosphere of her room. Rays of sunlight danced inside the room, as her alarm kept on beeping.
She rushed to her side table and turned off the alarm ....slowly, she relaxed on her pillow
'Another weird dream'
With that man ....again....
For the past year, Sabrina has been having strange dreams and they all had 3 things in common; Death, destruction and that man....
Her hands shakily reached for her lips, the same ones the man had kissed.
'Who is this man and why does he keep hunting me???!!'
She turned towards her alarm clock and a sigh escaped her breathe.
'Its already 7am. She has only 30 minutes left to get to school'
Hastily she got off bed and entered the shower

Melrose University,
8:27am
Sabrina is speeding through the campus wearing a basic pink top and blue jeans.
's**t!. I'm late. I hope they're still there'
She was already an hour late.
Her lungs burned as she rushed up the stairs two at a time before finally reaching the classroom door. Without thinking, she pushed it open loudly.
The entire class went silent.
Every head turned toward her, including the lecturer standing near the board.
"Miller," the man called out sharply, annoyance clear in his voice.
"Y-Yes, Mr. Davis..." she answered, slightly breathless from running.
He stared at her over the rim of his glasses.
"You're late. Again." He paused before adding dryly, "What's your excuse this time? Your cab fell into a ditch? A helicopter crashed on you?"
Suppressing laughter, the students snickered around the classroom.
Heat rushed to her cheeks.
"I... I don't have an excuse, sir," she admitted quietly. "I overslept."
For a moment, Mr. Davis simply looked at her before letting out a tired sigh.
"Go to your seat."
Sabrina nodded quickly and hurried down the middle row, avoiding everyone's eyes. She slid into the only empty seat available — directly in front of Rose, her roommate who was already staring at her with amusement.
Rose leaned closely to Sabrina and tapped her slightly
"About time," she whispered. "I was this close to telling the professor you'd been kidnapped."
Sabrina let out a quiet sigh. "My alarm betrayed me."
"Your alarm?" Rose snorted. "You mean you betrayed your alarm."
Sabrina rolled her eyes but couldn't stop a small smile. "Whatever helps you sleep at night."
"I even saved you a seat. You owe me lunch."
Sabrina looked at her. "That's called blackmail."
"It's called friendship."
Rose leaned over, ready to tease Sabrina again, but her smile slowly faded.
"...Since when do you have a tattoo?"
Sabrina frowned. "A tattoo?"
Rose reached for her wrist and turned it over.
"There." She pointed at the strange black mark etched into Sabrina's skin. "Don't tell me you got one without telling me."
Sabrina stared.
A symbol unlike anything she'd ever seen curled across the back of her hand, its dark lines twisting into an intricate design.
"What..." she whispered.
Her heart skipped.
She rubbed at it with her thumb.
Nothing.
It didn't smudge.
It wasn't coming off!!
It was as though it had always been there.
Then...
A pair of crimson eyes flashed through her mind.
That man.
The dream.
The moment he'd grabbed her wrist—
Her breath caught.
No...It was just a dream.
...Wasn't it??!!
"Sabrina?"
Rose's voice snapped her back to reality.
Before Sabrina could answer, Professor Davis strode into the classroom.
"Everyone, listen up! The bus is waiting outside. Gather your things—we're leaving for the museum now."
The classroom erupted into chatter as students grabbed their bags.
Rose glanced at the strange mark on Sabrina's hand one last time before shaking her head.
"We're talking about that later," she said firmly. "Right now, I have more important business."
Sabrina blinked. "More important than this?"
Rose grinned.
"Brandon."
Without giving Sabrina another chance to speak, Rose grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward the door.
"Hurry! If someone steals the seat next to him, I'm blaming you."
---
The bus buzzed with laughter and loud conversations as students scrambled for seats.
The moment Rose spotted Brandon, her eyes lit up.
"There he is!"
She practically skipped down the aisle before dropping into the empty seat beside the handsome football captain.
Sabrina sighed.
Typical Rose.
Not wanting to disturb anyone else, she continued down the aisle until she spotted an empty seat beside a dark-haired young man by the window.
"Is this seat taken?" she asked politely.
He looked up from his phone.
For a moment, Sabrina forgot how attractive some people could be.
Sharp jawline.
Raven black hair
Pale white skin...
Eyes so striking they almost didn't seem real.
He offered a small smile.
"No."
"Thanks."
She slipped into the seat and fastened her seatbelt.
"I'm Sabrina."
"Mena."
His voice was calm, almost lazy.
The bus lurched forward, pulling away from campus.
"So..." Sabrina glanced at him. "First museum trip this semester?"
"It is."
"I heard it's almost a three-hour drive."
"It is."
She chuckled.
"You don't talk much, do you?"
"I talk when I need to."
Sabrina smiled.
"Fair enough."
Realizing the conversation had reached its natural end, she pulled out her phone and headphones.
"This is going to be a long ride."
She slipped the headphones over her ears, started her playlist, and closed her eyes.
As the music filled her ears, her hand rested loosely around her phone.
Mena's gaze drifted toward it.
Then...
He froze.
His smile disappeared.
His eyes locked onto the strange black mark etched across the back of Sabrina's hand.
His expression darkened.
He looked from the mark...to Sabrina's peaceful face.
Then back to the mark.
His blood ran cold
"Impossible..."
