Chapter 14

Ananya's POV:

        After telling him the schedule, I was about to leave when he asked for coffee.  'Ofcourse Prince Harry that he is'. I just said yes and left his cabin to follow his order. I asked the receptionist where the cafeteria was and she told me that it was in the first floor. 'Oh God. Again I have to go in that daunting lift. I was waiting for the lift when it arrived and there was Rohan in it. 

"We only meet in the lifts," I told him playfully.

"Indeed. Where are you upto?"

"So Prince Harry wants his morning coffee. I am going to get that"

"Who?"

"Arre my boss, Mr. Arrogant Abhay"

"Oh, btw his new nickname suits him."

"Yeah right. I don't know what he thinks of himself. My floor arrived. Bye Rohan. Next time, I hope we meet somewhere else."

"Yeah sure. Btw, he likes black coffee."

"What? Who?"

     Before I could ask anything the lift closed. ' I guess he was talking about Mr. Arrogant. Of course he would like black coffee. Just like his bkack heart.' As soon as I entered the cafeteria, I was mesmerised. It looked very nice. The aroma of coffee made me also buy one. So I ordered one black coffee for him and one cold coffee for me. I sipped my cold coffee and it was delicious. I reached his cabin and kept it on his desk as he wasn't around. I left from there to enjoy my coffee. As soon as I drank it, I was about to spit it out. It was his black coffee. 'Oh God, I am dead. ' I rushed to his cabin hoping he was still not there. But all thanks to my stars, he sat there in his chair in all his glory about to drink the coffee. 

       I rushed into his cabin and told him not to drink that coffee. He gave me a puzzled look.

 " It is my coffee. I brought two coffee mugs and so they got exchanged. The one that you have in your hand is mine. I will get you a new one." 

" It's ok. I don't mind drinking your coffee unless you mixed poison in it. Did you?, he asked with smirk.

  " What? No. It's just that it is not black coffee and I had already taken a sip from it." 

"I don't mind Ananya and now go and check if the board room is ready for the meeting. I will be there in 10 mins. Inform everyone." 

"Ok sir." 

        I just said that and was about to leave when I remembered the black coffee that I had in my hand.

 " Sir, what should I do of this black coffee?" 

I could see him smirking like always. He definitely had some evil plan. 

" Ananya, I am sure you wouldn't want to waste food. So I suggest you should drink it."

 " What, no. I don't like black coffee."

 " You should have thought that before making this mistake. Now you don't have any other option. So drink it right now."

       '  Oh God, he is such a monster.' Trying my best not to puke that thing out, I drank it whole. It was nothing less than a punishment.

"Now, you may go and do what i told you," he said with a contented smile. 

        'Monster'.

           The board room was on the 8th floor. I did all the preparations and informed everyone. Rohan came there and I was surprised to see him.

"We are finally meeting somewhere else," he said.

"Yeah. By any chance do you have chocolate?" I asked him sheepishly.

" I don't have chocolate but I do have mint. But why? Are you stressed?," he asked.

" It's all because of that monster. It's a long story. Give me mints. That will also do."

"What did you guys do?"  he asked with a big smile.

"Huh?"

         I was about to ask him what he meant when monster cleared his throat from behind.' Ofcourse, he needs to make his presence felt. What an attention seeker?' I was in my own thoughts when I didn't realize what just happened. Rohan and monster hugged each other and are talking like long time besties. I was looking at them with complete shock. 'I had just made a fool out of myself. Rohan was also not a saint. He made me say all those things about that monster. Did he go and b***h about me to that monster. What if he told him and that monster is going to fire me? Omg, what have i gotten myself into?. I should really not open my big mouth.' I was brought out of my thoughts by monster. "Is everything ready ?", he asked. I nodded. " Words Miss Ananya." " Yes sir,," I said rolling my eyes at him. He had this different emotion in his eyes which I couldn't read. 

        The meeting started and one of my colleague Pratik started presenting. Our client didn't look satisfied. He asked a few questions and Pratik was not able to answer. I interrupted in the middle and said to Abhay, 

" If you don't mind I would like to say something." 

        Before he could say anything Pratik said, "What do you even know about this project. Today is your first day and I have been working on this project since a month. So please shut your pretty mouth."

         I was so hurt by his words and I was hoping Abhay would say something but he didn't.

         Instead Rohan said, " Pratik, I don't expect this kind of behaviour from you. If someone wants to place their point of view, we listen to them.  I hope I am clear. Ananya, please go ahead. We would like to hear your input." 

          Hearing his kind words made my day. Then I stated all the facts that I had read when I was doing the set up for the presentation. The client looked happy and the deal was signed. The client signed the deal only one condition that I would be working on the project. I didn't know what to say. 

         Rohan spoke, " Ofcourse.  Be assured. Ananya will handle everything henceforth. And Pratik  hand over all the papers to Ananya." 

          I turned to Abhay and said, " Sir you have a lunch meeting in half an hour. I have texted the address to your driver and I have kept the file in your car. Is there anything else you want me to do?"

         " You are coming with me." 

          He just ordered and left from there. I didn't know what to say. I told Rohan thanks for today and I asked him if he was also the boss. 

         " I am his best friend and his legal advisor. I am sorry for hiding it from you. It was fun when you used to blabber things about him. That's why I didn't tell you about him being my friend. Can you please forgive me?" he asked with a puppy face. I wanted to shout at him but couldn't. 

         So I just said, " Only if you buy me an icecream."

          " Your wish is my command. Now go and hurry. He might be waiting for you." 

         I had completely forgotten about that. I bid him good bye and hurried to the 8th floor to collect my purse and then went to the ground floor. He was still waiting for me. I was puzzled. He knew about my fear of cars then why was he still waiting. " Sir, I know the address and I have told my regular auto driver to come. He is almost on his way. You can go ahead. " I don't know why but he looked pissed. He didn't say anything and just left. My auto driver came and I told him the address.
