Opening my eyes and seeing Lucian beside me filled me with a kind of feeling that I couldn’t fathom. I knew he may come out of goodwill but I didn’t expect he would actually be here when I woke up. The way he was speaking to me so calmly, the way his eyes traveled around me at intervals.
