The rain had finally stopped, the waterfall was no longer gushing over the rocks, and only a faint mist lingered in the air. The thunder and avalanches' deafening sounds were gradually receding into the distance. As they peered out from the cave, they heard the joyful song of a bird rising from the depths below, piercing through the mist.
She told her companions, "The storm has passed. We can continue our journey now."
From that point onwards, the path became incredibly steep, ascending directly up the mountainside. It was so steep that Jasmine often found herself crawling forward on hands and knees. She had hoped that as she ascended higher and got closer to the Abra Mountains, her strength would increase, and she would stumble less. However, it seemed to be the opposite.
