Chapter Sixteen Request Pud pulled into the visitor"s lot and parked in the furthest available slot. All during the drive to Dallas, he"d replayed those moments when he and Billie had been taken to the base camp over and over in his head. At no time did he recall an instance where he had broken the rules. The sergeant had asked for proof of ID, and since Pud"s was back at the lodge, he"d given the man the only thing which would have prevented the military from placing him in shackles, along with the other drug runners. Either way, it didn"t matter. The Army could come up with an entire list of crimes they could claim he had committed, if they wanted to. Regardless of whatever punishment they planned to dole out, he hoped it wouldn"t involve long years behind bars. Solitude he needed. So
