9 It was a relief to get away from the image of the devouring god and out of the constricting tunnel. The vault stretched away into the shadows, the far end out of sight, but the echo of their voices showed how large the space was. Perry stood up, looking around as Mila and Zoe brushed dust from their clothes. His gaze lingered on the restorer for a moment. Something about her made him want to know more.
