THE SUMMER AND FALL passed quickly in a blur of gatherings with friends both from the project and town. Playing cards or watching favourite teams compete on television filled many evenings and weekends. Summer weekends were spent on picnics and fishing excursions to many of the beautiful lakes that the area had to offer. Nick continued to run and work out and before long, other than his crescent shaped scar, no one would ever know he had been in the hospital in the spring.
