MAGGIE HAD JUST RETRIEVED her luggage at the airport in Missoula, Montana and was looking for a taxi driver with her name on a card, when she spotted the man twirling it around in his fingers. The airport had the usual array of car rental kiosks and overhead signs announcing arriving and departing flights. People were hurrying to go somewhere and others were hugging and crying as those newly arrived were greeted by loved ones. She waved at the kind looking man with her name on his sign as she walked toward him. “Are you Miss McGuire?” Maggie nodded her head yes and he turned and said, “follow me”, in a brisk no-nonsense tone.
