This was the first time Julia and I had truly argued, and the silence in the aftermath was colder than any winter wind.
Why couldn't she understand that Denzo deserved an end? His evil thoughts were a bane to society. Even after gathering so much life experience, his antiquated mind couldn't comprehend a woman trying to live her life for herself and her former brother-in-law simply helping her.
How was that action unjust to society? All I was doing was standing against an entrenched wrong. My methods were swift, yes, but necessary.
