“What does that have to do with me?” I demanded icily.
I would never marry a woman I didn’t even like. I wasn’t like my brother, who’d always chased after titles, fame, and the crown. My wolf had already chosen Julia and wanted to claim her as my mate. And no one would stop me from doing that! Julia was mine, and she’d always be.
“Are you out of your mind!?” My father almost lost his temper as his voice was full of fury, coming through the receiver. “You can’t go against the law of wolves and do something as forbidden as taking your alpha’s wife as your mate!”
My grip on the phone tightened as my knuckles turned white. What did he even know anything about mate bonds? All he cared about was the son in power, and he sent me away to make allies at the academy!
