Chapter 15
Sam went to school the next day unsure of whom to yell at for calling her mother about missing games. She decided maybe she should just let it go and managed through another week of practice and then it was game time yet again. She was again nervous when she looked to the stands and saw her mother, which only increased her anxiety.
The game started as the two previous had with Sam unsure of herself and playing badly. Coach Hamm gave Sam a short amount of time to work through her jitters but it was apparent that she couldn’t do so on her own. The coach quickly called a timeout to bring Sam over to the bench.
