Chapter 19
Basketball season was still some time away so for the time, Sam went to the gym after school to work on her game. She did a lot of drills and shooting practice. Sam grew a few inches since last year and there was a thought that if she progressed well enough, maybe moving her to varsity at the end of the year but the coach thought it would probably be too much of a change for her.
Sam wanted to test herself against better competition so one day, when she was in the gym working on drills, she wandered over to where some boys were just shooting around. There were an odd number of them, so they weren’t able to play a game and she offered to join them so they could play teams.
